will be interesting in regards of DA3. Please everyone, to avoid any potential ****storm wait a month or so after release and read some ACTUAL reviews before buying.

And By Actual, you mean reviews on not-ign

Basically any review that is not written by a so called professional reviewer. This ME3 debacle has shown that none of them are to be trusted (75 or so perfect scores. LOL!). Wait for unbiased, non paid for, fan reviews and base your decision on whether or not to purchase the game on those. Pre ordering just gives companies like EA a way out, by the time people figure out they bought a product that wasn't what they wanted, EA has already got the money...

A lot of people are saying they'll get DA3. Interesting. I'm tempted to look into it still, even if the EC sucks, I will be making sure none of the money goes to EA or BW tho, so used it is IF it is good. IF.

Keep in mind DA3 IS made by a completely different team, and as long as you don't pre order and wait calmly for trustworthy (read my above post) reviews, you really can't go wrong there. I wouldn't advise anyone to actually pre order DA3 though, not after DA2 and ME3..

That said, I'm REALLY hoping the pre orders for future BioWare games are WAY down, let BioWare fall flat on their faces for outright betraying the fanbase like this.

Regardless of EC, I will not buy DA3 before some solid player reviews. Preorder? Never again.

When I said that I was gonna boycott Activision I ended up selling my entire CoD collection and other Activision-published titles that I had physical copies of.

This was in 2010. Haven't looked back since.

So you tell me.

No, one of the main reasons being is their attitude towards the endings, which has solidified in my mind what kind of developer they have become, and it's not one I think I can support anymore.

They would have to do something amazing with the extended cut dlc, and from listening to the podcast I don't see that happening.

DA3 holds no interest for me after the mediocre DA2.

I'll keep playing the games but I probably won't be preordering anymore.

I won't be purchasing any further ME3 DLC. I also won't be preordering any future titles from the company. I'll wait to see how BSN reacts before making a purchase.

Bioware might not put much value in the opinions of its own social network, but I still do.

As others have said, I probably won't pre-order any stuff from Bioware anymore unless they have something tangible I'd actually want.

If it doesn't have any freebies, then I'll wait for peer reviews before dumping cash on them again.

I can't say definitively that I will never buy another BW product again (although after the last few days, I'm close to that) but I will NEVER preorder one of their products again. I just don't trust them enough to.

Even if the Extended Cut delivers, I'll take better care when purchasing Bioware products in the future.

For one, this whole ME3 debacle has taught me to be more discerning when it comes to game reviews. The near uniform praise for the game despite it's notable flaws left a bad taste in my mouth. The next time I'll rely on user reviews on forums or trustworthy reviewers like Angry Joe when deciding to buy a Bioware game.

As for future Bioware products, I am looking forward to Dragon Age 3 or perhaps anoter Jade Empire. But Bioware had better a damn good job of not shafting their fanbase with unfulfilled promises and shoddy design choices.

I'll determine on a game-to-game basis.

If the EC isn't that great, I won't buy any me3 DLC (didn't buy From Ashes since I disliked the basic ending, for example).

On the other hand, I thought the story for Imperial Agents in swtor was very well done, so I'll continue to play that for now (helps that my server got a bunch of people added by transfers, lol).

Dragon age....DA3 will have to do very well in user reviews for me to buy it after DA2. Reused maps, an ending that wasn't great in my opinion, the wonderful spawn system, etc.

Unless the EC puts in a variety of endings and scenes, as per prerelease statements, then I will never buy any future game of theirs again. I do not reward lying and false advertising.

Even if the EC is a success, I think the only thing I'd buy from them before reviews come out is another KOTOR.
For anyything else I would wait.

There will not be any more pre-orders and I will research any games thoroughly before considering to buy anything EAWare made. DA2 left a really sour taste and ME3 did just a little better up till the end and then it did even worse. The way they handled the situations after both games don't give them any bonus points. The good days are over and so is the assured stream off money from my bank account.

If the extended cut or any future DLC fails to rectify what you found so distasteful about the ending, will you come crawling back, when ME4 comes out, what about JE2 or DA3?

Lots of people are saying they will leave EA/BW/ME games for good, then others keep saying "pfft, no they won't, they are just being dramatic"

So which is it? I'm curious?

WAIT WHAT?! JE2?! Yousa be meaning JADE EMPIRE? My mostest favoritest Bioware franchise is returning?! WAIT WHAT?!

Will always buy more ME games, this is the only sci-fi universe that I actually like.

Not too geeky like Star Trek
Not too macho like Gears of War
Not too messy and undefined like Star Wars

ME is juuuuust right :)

Regardless of the EC I will never preorder another Bioware game. If the EC is amazing I'll pick up DA3 from the bargain bin a year after release.

Yes I would buy DA3, ME4, and JE2 because those games would interest me. I won't buy Command and Conquer because I hate the RTS genre.

EDIT: Of course I would do research on them first, but I do that with every game I buy. Even Bioware games.

Two things this whole debacle teached me are:

1. Never pre-order EA games, as they will lie about the actual content.
2. Never rely on reviews from the gaming press, wait for community opinions.

If they sack and replace the people responsible for the terribly written ending then maybe I'll crawl back.

Unless IT is true, but I don't dare hope for that nowadays.

Crawling back? If the Extended Cut isn't the Indoctrination Theory. Nah... I got plenty of other developers and publishers I like that don't regularly churned out substandard products. Okay... maybe they're aren't much better either.... but none of the others didn't make me went through three games spending over a 100 hours and dollars only to be told to pick a color from a celestial child. It could be worse if I was color blind.

Ranting aside Yeah I'll continue to buy their products if they are good but I won't be buying their games until I fully research their upcoming games. Hopefully Dragon Age 3 developers learn from their mistake with DA2. Which reminds me I should really get my own copy of Origins.

That would depend. On trailers, previews, demos etc.

Let's be clear - trailers in NO way reflect on gameplay, story, or production value of a game. Trailers and previews are flashy and intended to sell product.

Trailers are for movies. Demos are for games.
