I`ll buy BioWarEA games again the day Casey Hudson is trustworthy again.

...

Yeah, that might take a decade or two...

Even if the EC is good, I won't be a preorder pet ever again.

I must say I will come crawling back... two f*cked up endings (ME3 and DA2) dont spoil the stories and universes, that Bioware created for me. I love Mass effect. I love Dragon age. I trust Bioware not to slip again.

I'm literally listening to The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again" as I type this. Sums my feelings up perfectly.

I'll read reviews from fans, not from gaming sites. Then I'll decide to buy or not.

Not buying any more ME. Just like the recent New52 comics of DC comics, not interested, since they destroyed what came before, all my emotional investment is gone, so why bother?

I'm giving them one more chance with DA3. And that chance is based on whether or not Hawke will be the Player Protagonist in it. Which is very unlikely.

Which means that is it for me, as far as EA games is concerned. Yes, EA, not just Bioware. Because what is going on with Bioware, is merely another iteration of EA's standard modus operandi concerning their aquired studios: EA is stripmining Bioware. As soon as it's done, the Bioware studios are dead, and that's it for the games. Since I do not agree with what EA is doing, I shall not buy any game of EA. I refuse to condone their actions through my money.

Hawke will not be the protagonist

Yes, and for this I'm glad.  I may get DA3 a couple of days after it comes out.  I've enjoyed the other two.

Well, I'll wait until future games are in the bargain bin, that's for sure. Since I've been pre-ordering every one of their games the last three years, that already is a money loss for them. If I can get their new releases for cheap on Ebay ( via codes from China and the like ), I'll take that, too.

But BioWare has lost the trust I had in them, both because of the way their last games were released and because of their overall reaction in this fiasco.

The EC may change my mind, but the way it is presented so far, I heavily doubt it. To preserve their precious, precious artistic integrity ( read: the giant ego of Mac Walters and Casey Hudson ), they have killed off a great lot of the goodwill they had with the fans. I doubt that they could have possibly gotten over themselves and added in something which can make those utterly hateful endings really and more palatable to people who think about the consequences.

EC is irrelevant to my buying future Bioware products. What is relevant is user reviews. If the reviews are generally positive I'll probably buy it if it looks appealing to me. However, and this is a large however, I don't care if everyone who plays recieves a vision from God telling them, personally, have won a million dollars and a get into heaven free card I will not buy the game if it is suffering from EA cancer. By which I mean needless multiplayer that is holding bits (even tiny, ultimately irrelevant bits) of the single player game hostage, large sections of game cut out for DLC, or a rediculously shortened production time.

There is one exception to this however, and thats Jade Empire 2. I will knife old ladies, fist fight gorrillas, and publicly whip myself until my back is just so much hamburger for Jade Empire 2. Although I still wouldn't pre-order it.

I also don't see myself purchasing any more ME products if they are set before ME3, as really I don't see an opportunity for a good story there.

No. I've deleted every BioWare game from my hard drive - six in total. DA/DA:A, DA2, ME1, 2 and 3, and SWtoR. IF they can fix their terrible ending for ME3 - of which I'm highly sceptical, since they still won't see that the choice for the ill-fitting, blatantly ripped-off Deus Ex ending was a mistake - I will play ME again, for it would be too awesome to ignore. Again, I don't think they can fix it for me.

That I've been let down for the third time is not the reason, but their insulting stance towards me, the customer, is. It's just revoltingly arrogant. They do NOT deserve my patronage and I will NOT buy another game from them.

I don't make idle threats, even if the EC is amazing and somehow fixes everything I don't intend to ever buy a BioWare game new until there's a significant change in management. I've got other issues with Mass Effect 3 besides the ending but I could have overlooked those and maybe even forgiven BioWare if they managed to fix the ending, but the way BioWare more or less vilified their fans and made them out to be entitled children doesn't sit right with me. As long as Mr. Walters and Mr. Hudson are running the show i'm done with BioWare, I'll buy their games used for $20 off amazon.

Say ME3 is resolved in a way I can manage to accept, for myself.

Honestly?  There's no way.  UNLESS!  They manage to make DA3 a proper heir to the Dragon Age throne.  And that means ORIGINS, ORIGINS, ORIGINS.  I did not like Dragon Age 2.  I liked Varric, I liked that your family looked like you, and I liked Sebastian's smokin' hot eyes (damn!).  The rest could suck it.  I want a spiritual successor to Origins.  If they can't do that, **** them.

Of course, this all depends on ME3 being resolved in a satisfying way.
I honestly can't see myself being interested in playing anyone but Shepard, though.

I'll certainly be more cautious with anything bioware releases in the future, especially with these shorter dev cycles that are obviously impacting the quality of their games. They seem to be taking their time with DA3, though, and I hope it turns out to be amazing, but I just don't see it happening.

Might not quit EA, not all their products are trash and they publish for some 3rd party devs (though rarely).

I won't be buying BW products again.

I'm good at keeping grudges and this is one I intend to keep. I'm going to need some really good fan reviews and time before I will bother with a Bioware or EA games again and that is if I even will bother with them again all together.

Mass Effect 3 failed me in one more area than just the endings but if the latter can't be at all fixed somehow, then adjöss.

I don't see why I need to stick around for Bioware products if they can't even stick to their promises. What's the point?

If I for, whatever reason want to throw money at Bioware, at the most I'll only buy when the games are in bargain bin.... for like, say $5. No day 1 purchase/preorders. :P

This I'll reconsider this stance when bioware reconsider the stance about lying to the consumers and issue an apology - so sometime after great Cthulu has been declared president.

If the extended cut or any future DLC fails to rectify what you found so distasteful about the ending, will you come crawling back, when ME4 comes out, what about JE2 or DA3?

Lots of people are saying they will leave EA/BW/ME games for good, then others keep saying "pfft, no they won't, they are just being dramatic"

So which is it? I'm curious?

I'll probably rent their next non-mass effect games (I'll definitely be done with ME if the EC doesn't rectify most of my problems with it) or buy second-hand if the fan reviews are really good, but pre-ordering and even first-hand purchasing them at full price? Nope.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

For someone who has always avoided any spoilers to all BioWare games, and pre-purchased when possible, it will be tough to have to read peer reviews before making a purchase. But I refuse to let myself be set up for such an inevitable depressing end again.

One thing is fo sure.....no more pre orders anymore. I preordered DA2 and ME3 and well...2 fiascos with glowing reviews. I HATE DA2 and ME3 my problem is the ending. When DA3 and ME4 is out there, I'll be here at first, and I'll watch reviews outside the bigger ones (IGN is dead to me too), will play the demo.....and then, if its worth it, I'll buy it. But I don't blindly follow every BW game anymore.

I will still probably buy the next DA or ME game. Expectations will not be as high as ME3, likely to skip future ME3 DLC.

Just because they lost my faith doesn't mean I should shun them incase they make quality again. If DLC brings quality to the ending I'll even consider other DLCs even for ME3.
But I won't buy any preorder or unreviewed games from Bioware anymore.
