Hi,
Completely new to Baldur's Gate, and a friend recommended playing it with EasyTutu stitching everything together. But I'm apparently missing some source files, and checking through the files on the CD itself (from the 4 in 1 box set) shows they aren't there either. What can I do to fix this? Even if I don't use EasyTutu I figure these missing files will cause problems in the long run.

Sounds like you may not have installed the appropriate patch.
This discussion tells you what to do before installing EasyTutu and also gives advice on a few other mods you might like to add to it.

However, if you're completely new to Baldur's Gate you might want to try playing it in vanilla (original form) for a while before using EasyTutu - that would allow you to decide what you like and dislike about the game before changing it.

Looks like you did a standard bg1 install on a win7/vista machine... you are missing the maps.
1. uninstall everything.
2. install bg1 to c:\\games\\bg1 (custom install with all boxes ticked) with totsc expansion if you have it & then run bg1 patch.
3. install bg2 to c:\\games\\bg2
4.install Tob and Tob patch.
5. run & install easytutu to c:\\games\\tutu (any where but program files).

I have a different problem now; EasyTutu installed, but the voices and portraits of the characters are all wrong. Running BG1 normally, the problem doesn't exist there. I don't have any mods other than EasyTutu. Any further help?
