I <span _fcktemp="1"></span>made my account by going through my EA Login, which is my email address. When I did that I tried to use my normal forum name, only to find it was already in use. I figured that I had possibly registered here before, so I tried every password I've ever used and none worked. So I settled instead on using this one. When I was done registering I decided to find this jerk (not really) <span _fcktemp="1"></span>who stole my name. I got 0 results. Why is my normal forum name passworded, with no apparent way to recover the password, but not existant?

Your regular forum name was reserved for you. Idealy you should have been able to input your forum name and password when registering your EA account. There were problems with that earlier because the name authority server was busy.
The easy way to solve this was to go to the forums.bioware.com site and link you EA account with your bioware account there before setting up the account here.
Now that the account is setup, I'm not sure if its possible to switch the display name to the Bioware account. I tried several things, but was stuck with the fact that my Bioware account used the same email as my EA account, so it wouldn't let me login with the bioware account because the EA account was already there. What I ended up doing was deleting my first profile I setup here, which was the EA account with a new name. Then I went to the Bioware forums and linked my EA account with my bioware account. Then I came back here and logged in with my Bioware account name and password and everything worked.

No luck. I tried to login with that user/pass on teh bioware site with no avail. Even password recovery was failing for the user/email combo. Oh well.
