 I have the N7 Hurricane 3. Is better that any better than any other smg?

Much better, though the Tempest and Hornet are still decent choices with AP ammo.

At level I, It's better than every other SMG and better than the vast majority of assault rifles *at X*.

Darn good for sure. I admit i'm partial to the Geth SMG and the Locust though, but the Hurricane is probably the best out of the bunch in terms of power.

Hurricane is the best SMG. But in terms of long distance, Geth SMG would be the better choice.Then again, you can just use short bursts for the Hurricane.

It's the best but only as a primary weapon. As a secondary, I would recommend the Geth Plasma SMG with ULM as it only costs 3% cooldown.

I have Valiant 3 and Crussader 1. Damn, I could exchange my valiant 3 for valiant 2 + Hurricane 1, or maybe even give a crussader for it

I like Hornet more. It is very versatile. Hurricane and Tempest are very good up close and on turians. Other SMGs are water guns, I tried to use them and gave up.

It really depends on the role you're attempting to fill.

It does NOT work with ULM, making its weight a slight turnoff on high frequency caster classes.

Its "effective range" is about as much as most shotguns, unlike a lot of other SMGs which can be accurately fired much further. (I should specify that its actually the "spread" more so than the recoil)

Lets also not forget that it cant just be "acquired" via traditional packs either, so not everyone can use it. I've been a part of every event and still have yet to land a Valiant, but some people act as if "Why ever use anything but a Valiant?", with the answer being "because I dont have one." and the same applies to the Hurricane, you cant use what you dont have.

Having it at level 4 now, I find myself using it as a shotgun replacement/alternative, typically paired with a Carnifex or Phalanx. For ranged shooting SMG's, I much prefer the Tempest as I can control the recoil, and the spread is much tighter making it possible to engage at safer distances, while still providing effective DPS (unlike most other SMGs).

There is no doubt though, that the Hurricane SMG is a very good weapon, and probably in the top 10 or 15 weapons in the game.

I have actually just switched away from the Hurricane. I can't remember what I switched too but it had a LOT more accuracy, I simply cannot control the hurricane well enough to make all those great damaging shots count.

Hurricane is a beast compared to other SMGs. It's not a mid-range gun, it's close quarters gun, as SMGs are suppose to be.

Don't listen to anyone who says you need a turian to use it well. Turians can extend it's range, but "at range" is not the way it was designed to be used.

That's a good point about power.  Like any fully auto weapon you have to be able to take long exposure.  You also have to compensate somehow for its recoil, which is tremendous.

Hurricane rules. It's the only SMG i use. AP Ammo on, and you're pretty much unstoppable against Cerberus and Reapers. ( i don't play against geth)

What mods do people like to use with it? I was trying out the magazine upgrade because it goes empty so fast, but I'm not sure how much it really helps.
