OK, I have looked long and hard on the internet to find out why I've never found these. The consensus seems to be "sometimes they don't spawn in the lothering cabinet like they are supposed to". I've played through Lothering with 7 different race/class origin combos and I've *never* seen the boots spawn in that cabinet. I've never seen the boots, at all. Are people just being politically correct by giving Bioware the benefit of the doubt that it's POSSIBLE that some people playing the PC version have found Elven Boots, or something? Because I'm calling bull**** on that.

Why hasn't Bioware fixed this yet? Considering that is a unique set of armor and there are quests involved to get it, that's a pretty big blow-it. And especially for me because that's the only set of metal armor I've seen yet that doesn't look goofy beyond belief, to my tastes. And in single player games I don't use goofy looking stuff, no matter how big the alleged benefit is. Speaking of which, why hasn't Bioware hired somebody who knows how to make 3D modelling look good yet, after all these years? If they want to put in hermaphrodite armor for some certain demographic that's fine but they should but in armor that looks doesn't make males look like transvesities too, for the rest of us. And what's up with the colorization? Grey Iron = Orange? Red Steel = Pink? Silverite = White? Come ON, guys. If you want people to be able to use stuff that looks like it's been painted with some gaudy colors that's fine but put it in the effing CRAFT section, don't make the baseline items pre-colorized. Goofy. This game has a terminal "goofy" overdose. Seriosly, Bioware, people have been compalining since NWN came out. What's your deal? Good job on improving the combat engine and the camera at least! But those two items still = medicre.

For your next big game (which will be released in 5 years or so no doubt) I suggest you FIRE your art director or whatever the title is of the person who is insisting the 3D modellers do these hidesous models, and also stop trying to fix this horrendous game engine and license something decent, instead. There are some things Bioware does well, and others they don't do well at all. Game engine and 3D graphics being two of them.

It's a bug and apparently the boots have an extremely low percentage to spawn inside the cabinet. You can try using the dog to randomly fetch items in Lothering, until you get them, but even that solution isn't guaranteed (from my own experience).

I've never had them appear in the cabinet either. For me, I think the Elven armor looks pretty goofy. It's not as retarded as the Blood Dragon Armor, or the Diligence armor, but it's up there.

Best looking armor in the game are the Massive type armor sets (not Dwarven, Legion or Blood). Perhaps the Templar is the neatest looking armor, but that's reserved only for Templars, because if you're not a Templar it just won't fit on your body. Seriously.

Also, it's fine to complain about the game, but I wouldn't go as far as insulting the creators.

Cool, thanks. Too bad this game relies too much on the players as such.
