For example, i liked how in last stage of the game, you have to defend the gates of the city with some members of the party, the less used members .  I think that great situacion could give more ideas:

- Defend a village, having time to put some traps, or barricades. Perhaps defending a specific NPC.

- In the same way, defend  a punch of villagers, but not in the way of some mission that i have already seen, where you reach in the last second, with darkspawns attacking villagers.

- I missed having a guild, a house, a tower...something that could be "my" char guild. I think it gives a lot of posibilities. Think about if this guild felt in darkspawn area. Perhaps you could let some of the chars defending the zone. ..

- Separating in a mission into groups (for example to cover 2 ways), being the player who select what groups make.

- A card game, or dice game..you know, the tipical games, into the game.

- We know that darkspawn have siege machines, why out heros cant go to burn someones.

I think this ideas can be easly improved with game's engine.

- Another idea i would like, is comanding some darkspawns...perhaps a temporaly pact to defeat a dangerous enemie.

- What about a "good" dragon, i dont know if exits in this world.

More ideas?..i suggest ideas trying to use the actual engine, i mean, not ideas that needs a significant change in game's engine. Plots, scripts

I think these ideas seem all well and good, but there's one problem with the temporary pact idea. Darkspawn are mindless, they are not fighting for conquest. They're sole reason for being is to destroy all life. Therefore, if you offered a temporary pact to fight a common enemy, they would just gut you and move on as intended with no concern whatsoever about this enemy, other than, maybe, what to do with its lifeless body when its dead.

Personally, I really enjoyed the keep in NWN2 and I really enjoy the idea of splitting the party up for tasks and would have loved to see more strategic decisions of that nature when retaking (or better yet defending) Denerim. In an ideal world, it could even be tied into approval ratings (who will agree to go where) and there would be different advantages or disadvantages to each choice.

My favourite bit of HOTU, for example, was choosing where to place all the different troops to defend against the attack of the town.

If you mean doing stuff with companions I dont use much, I dont like the idea. By the end of the game my group is so set up for playing together that any of them totally sucks alone.

Well, is true that would be  difficult, perhaps imposible, to imagine a situation where heroes (with greywarden) could have like temporal allies some darkspawns, but i dont think they are mindless; i would say that they are slaves, but nor mindless. Imagine a situation where appears some kind of beast so terrible its a danger for everybody, and attacks indiscriminately to everyone, couldnt then unite efforts to kill creature?..of course, no mercy when done.

Anyway, in other thread, someone ask for more random events in game, i think this sort of ideas could help developvments.
-Another idea: enchantment (read with the correct pronunciation and voice ) more objets than weapons. some craft would be great in my opinion.

- What about attacking a darkspawn fortication?. I mean.. first with siege weapons..attacking...

It is clearly said in the game that Darkspawn are mindless husks, which is one of the reasons the Archdemon can enter and be reborn in a Darkspawn's body. Because there is no soul or nothing within. Sure, their mental capacity is enough to swing a weapon and all that, but ultimately they have no minds of their own and the Archdemon is pure evil like them. He can command his forces, but his mind or soul is fixed on one thing and one thing only; destroy everything.
Besides, I highly doubt there could be anything more dangerous than an Archdemon. At least, I doubt the Archdemon would feel threatened by anything, be it normal or unnatural danger.

The Maker could probably frighten an archdemon, if he even exists. For all we know he could be an archdemon too though. :\\

Well... The Maker did imprison the Old Gods beneath the earth. Who's to say he can't do it again? Posted Image
