So how about this install patch that the game could really use.  The one we're NOT getting.  What's up with that?

At my best guess: "Sony's fault". Otherwise, I'm guessing BioWare may have fired all of their PS3 technicians after ME2 came out for us and didn't bother writing down how to do it.

Yeah, it really feels like we were an afterthought and bioware went with the "just get it out there approach."

I mean for ps3 ME2 runs on ME3's engine and that one worked fine, not great but fine. It really feels like Bioware is just really lazy with their ps3 department, I mean just look at some of their other ps3 releases.

I think they need better devs over there. Of course sony could be giving them a hard time for no reason as well.

It's a trick to get you to buy the digital version so they can save money on manufacturing boxes and blu-rays. Also, you can't trade in a digital copy which means less used copies on shelves which means more money.

There will never be an install option. And there is no way it's Sony's fault. Plenty of other games install huge amounts of data to the HDD.

When a game has a mandatory install many complain, that it's a inferior version since the Xbox360 version runs fine without an install or point to PS3 exclusives like Uncharted that don't have an install either.
And when a game has no install many complain that it's just a lazy port since the developer didn't adjust the game around the PS3 hardware.
No matter how developers decide it's always wrong :o
Not to defend Bioware ^^ I find it curious myself why Mass Effect 2 had a fairly large install and for ME3 they choose to not include an install at all. Normally just installing all data is the easiest way and running games without an install needs more optimization.

I would like to have an install patch as well. But only because I don't like to hear the disc drive.
But I wouldn't expect much of an improvement for the game like better fps. The PSN version is basically an installed version and runs the same as the disc version.
Maybe that's the reason why they didn't bother to put an install option in the game or add one via patch.

Still it feels sloppy and unprofessional. I'm glad the game's on our console, but still we got the weakest port. Look how many glitches this version has, and how little bioware has commented on it.

Oh well, still c'mon we could have an optional install or something. I don't like having to wear out my bluray drive just because a dev decided not to let me install.
