I would just like to get some sort of solid answer on this, and a reason as to why not if the answer is no.

With extended cut coming, I'm looking to get my readiness rating up to 100% again, but I have COMPLTETLY burned out on the repetative multiplayer. I need an alternative, and that would be Datapad. But it's only on iOS, which strikes me as INSANE considering that a month ago, android reached 60% marketshare:

Android got Infiltrator, but it didn't get the less graphically complex Datapad? What? Really?! Any answer on this would be appreciatied. thanks.

The EC is changing the EMS requirement for best ending from 4000 to 3100 so you probably won't ever have to touch readiness ever again, providing you do basically everything on the SP to get EMS up.

I'd still like to get the Datapad app.

Yeah, I think what most people want it for is the squaddie text messages, not the GR stuff. If it doesn't come out on Android, I'd at least like to know why. Maybe they struck a deal with Apple or something, though since it's free (I think) that wouldn't make a whole lot of sense.

Datapad is a prettified @masseffect twitter client. I'm sure android has Twitter apps.

I've been wondering for a while about this lack. Why this os racism, Bioware?

I agree.Datapad should be available across all platforms, including Android and a web-based version. I don't know what kind of exclusive agreement there is with Apple on this, but I would really like to see it be available to everyone equally.

I have a personal boycott against MP simply because I'm not interested in it (because Mass Effect was never that kind of game to me - if they want to do MP I think they should do it as a standalone game in the ME universe for people who actually want to play it) and I feel like it's a carrot dangling tactic on EA's part. I do want to get 100% galactic readiness for the one achievement that can't be obtained otherwise.

I did finally get Infiltrator when it came out for Android. Had mixed feelings about paying money for it given my feelings about MP above, but I really did want Infiltrator when it first came out before release, and it is it's own game. I suppose I could mash away at Infiltrator to get TMS to 100% (but playing on my phone is weird on my fingers lol!)... but I still would just like to see some equality for all fans. This isn't even the same caliber as say PS3 getting delayed DLC or something like that, it's a higher level issue IMHO.

I agree, Datapad is practically a web app in nature. I doubt you'd even need anything other HTML, and javascript and some php for the functionality to be there.

As much as I would like for this to happen, I am not holding my breath. I was hoping to get it before the EC, but I doubt it will come out at this point. Which is very saddening, I might add.

Apple vs. Android?
Sounds like organcis vs. synthetics to me ...

Maybe an Independence Day announcement letting everyone know that Datapad has been liberated from being an iOS only app?

I still do not understand why this hasn't happened yet. Like another poster said, it's little more than a Mass Effect version of Twitter - it couldn't possibly be that difficult to develop for Android. Especially since they've already done all the actual work once already... how hard could it really be just to port it over? I mean, heck, they were able to port Infiltrator, a 3D game, but they can't manage this?

Yeah, Datapad on android, please =( Not to mention, on WiiU it could easily run on the controller while you're gaming on the TV =)

Don't forget us Windows Phone users too.
Considering the windows phone can be directly linked to 2 out of the 3 platforms Mass Effect is available on (360 and PC), you'd think it would be a no-brainerB)

Pwetty Pweese Bioware?

I support this request. Even though read everything on wiki, I'd very much like a ME app on my droid (well, there's also infiltrator, but my phone is really suited for it).

The Alliance News and Squad Messages are Twitter-like. The Media gallery is pretty simple too. But the Codex is more complicated, with embedded audio. And Galaxy at War has swooshy animations and synchronized audio, which might be just a little tricky for cutting-edge HTML. You can probably do it in Flash, but its days on Android are numbered.

Don't rip my dreams apart, Hazmat! It makes sense now more than ever to release Datapad on Android since Wii U is getting ME3 according to Nintendo.

Better yet how about a simple option to turn off the use/need of EMS.  Why did the developers put this stupid stipulation in the game.

Oy how I wish codemasters, galoob, and Interact still participated in game enhancers.  Todays game developers have gotten ridiculous in the rigid design of these games, they make the games now to that they feel like a chore than fun.

I wouldn't mind EMS so much if the stupid idea wasn't so short-sighted. What happens 2 or 3 years from now when other games have made ME3 multi-player a desert? It's just gonna be this annoying thing you can NEVER get to 100%. And without Datapad for Android, only iOS users will have even a slight chance of getting max EMS at that point. Yet another good reason to release this on android. Come on, Bioware, don't screw your fans over on this.
