The only thing I think of is that since (as I understand) the app isn't working right, they don't see any reason to port it over. I would still like to have it on my android tablet, unless the squad messages are tied to the actual game and so are not working.

Stil want. :crying:

I have managed to port it over with a lot of features missing. GAW is non-functioning and audio has a somewhat high latency and the khZ level was downgraded due to ****ty compression. Mostly all you need to do is repack an iOS app into a Android app format (.apk)

I'm pretty sure that's against EA's terms to distribute it. So you can go for gold by yourself.

Dear Bioware, any news on this?
Answering "yes" or "no" would really do the trick, any answer would...

Yes, some kind of statement would be great. And not one of those indefinite ones, like, "Our teams are evaluating the possibility of this, but no information is available at this time."

Just thought about something. On top of Datapad for Android, when are we getting the updated version of Mass Effect Deception without all the mistakes? That was actually mentioned.

right now with all the controversy surrounding ME3 and those "endings", i think its safe to say datapad for android is dead, as for deception that would seem to be way down on the priority list.

They'd need to fix it first. Their feeds have broken. I heard aspects of ME: Infiltrator's online content has also broke.

Since the entire BioWare staff is on holidays throughout Christmas and New Year it was kinda illusionary to think Datapad would be a "Christmas present".

There is still hope. According to Ryan Warden, who also did the ME1 PS3 conversion, they are bringing the Datapad for iOS back on track again and when asked, if there'll be an Android version, too, he replied with " :) ". Which Mika Gamble mitigated by saying "which means maybe, maybe not ;) "

I'm afraid it's nothing concrete and far from a confirmation, but still...

And it's now 2013... How about in time for the Super Bowl? Shepard strikes me as a person who likes a good tackle.

I applaud your persistence. If it ever comes to Android, I'd like to think it was because of this thread.

I maintain this thread in rememberance of page 146 from "The Art of the Mass Effect Universe" book.

Release of this app around Super Bowl Time or shortly after on Android would allow for a post super bowl commercial (likely aired during the Jimmy Kimmel Live Post-Game show to save $$$) advertising The Mass Effect Trilogy for PS3, Xbox and PC [and maybe Wii U if rumors are accurate] with a post commercial blurb mentioning "And Mass Effect Infiltrator and Datapad for iOS and Android" to make a really nice sales pitch to a large audience of potential buyers. #freemarketinggenius
