 I can see that many of us are stuck with this problem. I dont know how long will EA respond to this. God bless us all.

 Hello All,

I am having issues when i want to play Mass Effect 3. This happen suddenly last week. I dont recall installing anything extra that causes this issue to the game.

As the title stated, when i want to play via Origin or the game shortcut, if via origin, it will show launching Mass effect 3, then thats about it, nothing happens or game wont load. Same if i execute the game via the .exe, origin will launch, and it will show launching Mass effect 3. Then thats it, cant get into game.

I tried to check in Task manager and i can see that i can see that under the processes tab "MassEffect3.exe is active. 

I tried reinstalling it. Game able to play forthe first time, but once i quit and try to play again, the same problem occur. 

i hope EA or origin or players can help me. I cant seem to find any similiar problem on the internet

Hello Sate,

Same problem developed for me last week out of the blue. I have been able to remedy it by the following process:

1) Start game from Origin as normal.
2) If the game appears to not be starting but the words "Playing Mass Effect 3" appear in origin, open task manager.
3) Find Mass Effect 3, right click and "end process tree"
4) Try launching the game from origin again, if it once again tells you you're playing the game without launching it repeat these steps.

I know it sounds sort of stupid but by no later than the 3rd repeat the game launches without a problem. I really have no explanation for why this is, but this works for sure.

One guy suggested removing the win32 folder from the Binaries folder in the Mass Effect 3 folder (folderception), then repair installing it. However, after trying that twice, it did not work.

Having the same issue. The .exe file appears and remains stuck at 592kb in the Task Manager. No idea what to do...tried all the above to no avail.

I have the same issue, but i have a little solution, i try to change the game config from full screen at window mode, when i click play the game start and i can change the resolution from the menu in the game but when i restart the game in full screen the game won't start again! all of this after i have installed the EC DLC. Sorry for my english i'm Italian.

I Hope EA fix this error...

 Ok guys i have a solution, i try to change the config from full screen to standard (Predefinito in Italian) and it work, the game start at full screen without problem... only the galactic reactivity at 50% is a problem of my game
