Really? That's lovely...

I waited for one scene - reunion with LI, and that wasn't hard to make. Thanks BioWare. And I got one advise - don't try to be 'epic' you really don't know what it is.

Probably just Bioware messing with us again.

I see this as a first clue that IT may be correct.

If you reject - according to people - starchild sounds like Harbinger. This may further suggest the theory that Starchild is controlled by the reapers.

Liara says they failed to win against the reapers and starchild says "so be it."
It's an indication that IT may be true.

Part of the theory discusses how "Starchild" is just a fabrication of the Repears to throw shepard off - and have him not choose "Destroy".

When you reject the ending - and Starchild says "so be it" (in Reaper voice) - and Liara says that they weren't able to succeed - it further indicates that Starchild was just a fabrication by the reapers - and the reapers destroyed everyone.

Well, in destroy the galaxy is saved. Relays aren't destroyed, only damaged and everyone has krogan babies and live happily ever after.

Not sure if I should put this in a spoiler cut. I don't post here often lol, so someone let me know if I should spoiler this even though I'm in a spoiler allowed section.

I'm using the same account to explore all the 3 (four?) endings. So far did Synthesis and Control and the pictures after the Normandy crashes were pretty much the same, but with slight differences. The voice over is different. Synthesis has EDI narrating while Control has an AI Shepard narrating. EDI's narration emphasizes a new begining and how synthetics and organics are rebuilding. Control has AI Shepard talking about immortality and power and how s/he will make sure to repair the galaxy or something. The tone was eerie and very fitting. Synthesis is still my favorite at the moment. Doing the reject next.

I could live with that for Control ending.  Sounds legit.

Haven't gotten to play it yet, myself.

What I might do, when I get to it, is to use Gibbed Save Editor to set my EMS to 99999999999999999999999 and see if that changes the Reject ending at all.  :P

Can someone say something about Control ending? Did they explained what happened to Reapers and Shepard in this scenario?

In other words: the EC is just as bad as we expected it to be?

Big surprise.

I still think the 'reject' ending is a rather petty move on the part of Bioware, but it's nice you can in fact shoot the damn kid.

A petty move? I recall that I included exactly this scenario (without the shooting, but I understand that's only one way to get it) in my "best case" EC list and quite a few people appeared to agree. If you reject the choices, the cycle continues, but there's hope that the next cycle will get a better start. I like it.

Petty is exactly what it is.  You are REJECTING the forced solution and trying to do the impossible...you know...like Shepard normally does.  Bioware is saying, "If you don't take our solution, then you lose, period.  End. Of. Story"

Like I said earlier, if your resources were sub-minimum, then SURE, you lose.  No issues (and you can actually end the game with insufficient resources to win...it's hard and you have to sabotage yourself in places but it's possible).  Not the same thing at all.

-Polaris

The entire plan for the war hinged on using the Crucible. How would the fleet win without it being used?

People are being far too prescriptive with the entire EC. Those of you that reject Bioware's endings and asked for a chance to reject starkid got just that. Having failed to pan out the way you wanted it to, you'll complain once again. BW included the reject option to improve the number of options available to you, it's highly dangerous when fans start telling developers what they should write.

If you have such a deep-rooted hatred for the BGR endings (as it were) then reject them, have that outcome be your canon.

Another somewhat insular idea is the need for this "reunited LI" scene. As soon as they start putting things on screen it becomes undeniable. It's fact. It's there and it happened. There is absolutely no reason why this LI scene can not be present in your ending should you "want" it to be there. They don't need to force it down our necks by putting it in.

I am sure each of us would like particular outcomes, we all have our own ideas as to how Shepard should progress. It's possible there are those that actually don't want to see this reunited scene -- fear of being a tad cliche maybe?

One thing is certain. Bioware will not deviate from their vision. They told us this from day one, there is no reason to be shocked by it.

I gotta say, I really REALLY did not like the endings first time around, made me feel sick. But all in all, the changes definitely make Shep feel like a hero. Yea the ending is not the most complex thing ever written, but I was surprisingly satisfied and feel like I can go through replaying ME3 knowing that all my choices will not end in a doomed galaxy.

The only Geth you see is Legion when they are talking about sacrifices but they show the Quarians alive and well with their suits on. That said, you see Tali maskless but in a crying position so you can just about make out a purple face and nose. Also I believe you see EDI whilst your name is being put on the plaque although that could just be wishful thinking, shoulda taken a screen grab. It's the same scene shown from the developer pictures a few days ago. Should see if her model is there.

The other important races get shown celebrating but not the Geth basically :(

So Jacob, Kasumi and Zaeed got slides, but not Jack or Miranda apparently? I didn't see them. Maybe this player got them killed.

Also, darn you Zaeed for stealing Shepard and Garrus' retirement. Then again maybe he's just keeping that lounge chair warm for Shepard.

Lovely indeed. That's my gal, she understands that the worst that could happen is that Shep survives and find her dead. If Liara didnt try to save herself she would be too stupid for me and I would dump her if we both survived.

I actually am glad they added the reject ending. I think it's unfortunate they didn't let it have more choice, but thematically it works. The problem with the reject ending is it's a pretty gigantic passive aggressive insult from Bioware. It's kinda childish.

Also "highly dangerous when you tell people what to write" is nonsense. People have demanded (and obtained) new endings for over 300 years, and it's not destroyed artistic integrity yet.
