So what rubble is Shepard lying in at the end of destroy?

Magic Rubble? *sigh*

If it is the same breathe scene as before, it surely looks like Earth-rubble. Which means Sheaprd must have gotten out of the citadel...is there a change in the destroy-scene/option/cutscene? Does Shepard still walk towards teh explosion like a silly one? Or is she running the hell out of there to the nearest escape pod????

So... why did they flee?

Hackett told everyone to leave. One of the crew tells Joker it's tome to leave.

...Okay... so why is their ship the only one to end up on a strange planet?

We don't know that's the case, as the Normandy isn't stranded ont he planet anymore. For all we know, a lot of ships got sent everywhere, but they're not broken so they all robably left.

The Citadel isn't destroyed completely. He's on the Citadel.

It's a videogame and after beating one, one should feel some form of accomplishment... it seems, that after the original ending, Bioware failed again to deliver this feeling... (which btw. is the only thing really wrong with the ending, as long as the player feels good, plot holes don't really matter)

I still don't understand how it had come to this situation, but I'll take my money elsewere, thanks for making 2 2/3 great games.

But Appris just said the Normandy was taking off on that planet! D:

One of the goals for the Extended Cut, as part of addressing player feedback, was to provide more time with the love interest, and more opportunity for players to say goodbye to them and provide additional moments of connection between them. We did this in several ways:

  • Shepard can now actually say goodbye to the love interest when they are split up at the conduit run.
  • When Shepard sees flashbacks of important characters during the final decision, the flashbacks are now variable based on your playthrough – so your love interest can appear as one of the flashbacks, providing another moment of reflection between Shepard and that character.
  • A memorial scene was added, partly to show a close bond between Shepard and the love interest. The scene is variable, and if Shepard has a love interest in a given playthrough, it will be that character who places Shepard’s name on the memorial wall.
  • You may notice that in the “Shepard lives” ending, the love interest hesitates to place Shepard’s name on the wall, and instead looks up as though deep in thought. This is meant to suggest that the love interest is not ready to believe Shepard is dead, and the final scene reveals they are correct. As the Normandy lifts off, there is hope that the love interest and Shepard will again be together.

Yes but if you had a me2 LI your pretty much screwed out of all thoose scenes, except the flashback which isn't much. It seems rather insulting to all the people who romanced me2 LI's to say nope your choice was wrong no scene's for you.

So Jack appears in none of these scenes except the flashbacks? Really? Image IPB

It's retconned. Normandy no longer damaged by shockwave, it doesn't have holes on the hull anymore ... hell there's even a new Joker animation and he doesn't look back.

Okay, let's go on the thesis, that, while I'm still pissed off, I have enough information to headcanon a more or less decent ending now...

WHY THE HELL WASN'T THIS CLARIFICATION INCLUDED IN THE FIRST PLACE!?

Why not show Hackett ordering all fleets to flee!? Why just assume the player will know why Joker is abandoning them?!

Well, I have to say, this has proven one thing - you simply cannot make some people happy.

Look forward to playing it, Bioware. The Reject ending sounds absolutely hilarious and I for one have to high five you for the courage to do that.

And...it was too hard to have the LI/squadmates come up the the concrete-spacestation-rubble and pull her out of it? Just a couple of  SECONDS and the EC would have been somewhat cool for me...

You sure it's not ending-based?

I mean it might be damaged in the ending with less warassets.

*GRABS AND SHAKES* TELL US WHAT HAPPENS!!!!!!!

AI Shepard voice-over while images of the Reapers rebuilding the relays and the Citadel, floating around Rannoch, Earth, etc. and then the slideshow from Destroy which has krogan babies and various ME2 squadmates doing... stuff. AI Shepard says he's going to be the immortal guardian of the living and never forget the sacrifices made so that everyone else could live.

+1

After this and swtor I'm done with Bioware and EA, they offer me nothing but frustration and heartache now and that's something I can find in real life with the bonus of being able to punch it in the face personally if needed.

They implied they find living Shepard. Peole apparently have to be spoon fed the scenes rather than imagining it.

I think because they thought people could connect the dots by themselves... and propably because they were time and money constrats.

Watched on live. Not going to download, overall still garbage.
I got what I wanted - relays are intact. Now I can headcanon everything else. Off to play Dawnguard now.
PS, Goodbye, bioware.

and then we see the stargazer scene, but no reapers or anything there. you'd think they'd still be around.
