Nor did they explain how the squad got onto the Normandy before it crashed. Nor how the ship survived that crash to then take off again (which strikes me as a last-minute change, otherwise why even have them crash in the first place?). Boy, don't you love all this clarification?

Reposting this!! >>>Pause: I saw something new. Shepard, Garrus and Liara are running to the beam. Garrus and Liara almost get crushed by the Mako, they are injured. Shepard calls for the Normandy to come get them. That is how they got on the ship, no one else got this clip??? 

So Harbinger let the Normandy come in, land, pick up wounded soldiers, and fly away safely?

I would imagine that the vast quantity of troops still surging towards the conduit as Shepard's squad was evacuating posed a greater threat than the Normandy itself which was just evacuating troops away from the conduit.

Looks like ME2 is my ending for the series. In my mind, Shepard's indoctrinated, wakes up, beats the Reapers and the galaxy rebuilds. Not "everybody dies either way".

If you don't want to do multiplayer, there's a cool little program called gibbed's where you can boost your EMS and get the ending you want.

If the remarks from the press releases are accurate, 3100 EMS is all that should be required for the best ending now, so no multiplayer required.

I'm pretty sure in one of the dialogue options you can ask the star child is what he, the Catalyst, is. And I'm pretty sure he says he is the collective intelligence of the Reapers. So I don't think he's Harbinger, he's just the AI controlling all the reapers.

And I have refused since the start that the Reapers win in Control or Synthesis. I feel that all three endings you "win" in the sense to end the conflict once and for all.

Ok... I've read the reviews now. I only have one thing to say to you, Bioware, now and that is goodbye. I've really enjoyed the games you've made through the years, especially the Mass effect series which was a brilliant trilogy. Too bad that it was utterly destroyed in those last minutes. You even had this final chance to make things right but again you failed to deliver.

Ending an epic story like this one in a way that would please most of your fans is obviously hard and it would take brilliant writers to pull that off. It appears as if you're just not that great.

Thanks for a handful of brilliant games but I will not pay for more disappointments like this.

So, you didn't play it yourself or even bother to just watch them and you're basing your judgement off of someone else's words. Don't let the door hit you on your way out.

No Reapers only win if you reject one of the choice. In control and Synthesis they do "win" their life else they would be dead as dead they can be.

Yeah I get it, along with the fact that they were created to do this and don't care about the war. It also goes well with what Sovereign was saying in ME1.

However am I the only one who got chills from the synthesis ending now? It was creepy.

Well it was a mildly entertaining ****storm, could have certainly been better. I think i'm done, most of the dissenters have left and only the sycophants and people who actually liked the ending remain. I bid you all fare well, if you liked the ending good for you and enjoy yourself. As for BioWare, may their end be slow and painful. Thank you, and good night.

Well, I chose Control for my playthrough, and I was actually kind of satisfied. Quite a surprise.

I still would have liked to see Shepard reunite with the crew, though. The secret fourth option was a perfect opportunity to have EMS play more of a role in the ending, but the opportunity (to my knowledge) wasn't taken for whatever reason.

Regardless of how improved the endings were (mostly Control), I'm thinking this is my last BioWare game. The endings were incredibly silly and plot hole-ridden. However, I want to thank you, BioWare, for providing the EC.

It was a good run...

Shepard is probably still on the citadel rather than earth so its not too much of a strech.

Saying that it is ONLY... whoa.

And Citadel didn't drop trough athmosphere btw. It stayed in orbit.

You know what REALLY sucks about Synthesis? EDI starts her monologue with "I'm alive." Thanks BioWare, for basically stepping on the entire premise of synthetics as living beings and all arguments based on it, because apparently she was never really alive without space magic.

EDI was always struggling with identifying herself as alive. It was more like a moment of clarity for her. She could now accept herself as a person.
