STILL FUN to Explore ME Universe. IF Everyone still want Happy ending, i just feel sorry, but in real war, THERE IS NO HAPPY ENDING.
They Supposed ME3 About the Grim Invasion of the Reapers in Desperated time. Even Myself want Really happy ending, for me ME1 and ME2 already Enough of that. Time to make Shepard go to Sleep Forever for becoming a legend.
BEsides this ME World not Only Shepard who is Badass isn't it??

I liked it, except for 2 things I despise.
#1 The Normandy squad evac. Yeah. The ship that has totally screwed the Reapers around for too much, and they just let the Normandy waltz in while everyone bum rushes the beam and rescue your squad. Makes NO sense.
#2 What the hell is with destroy? If Shepard is alive, I want to see what becomes of him. I thought this would be the clarity that BioWare spoke of? I'm glad I now know the fate of the galaxy, but what about the man i've cared for for years?
I think the reason they left Shepard's fate open is that there will be "one more story". Either DLC or sequel. Otherwise it could be revealed what happened to him/her.
The message you get also states that from here you can continue to build Shep's story. Emphasis on from here.
I have to also add, that I don't know how to feel about leaving the protagonist's story open in a supposed end of a trilogy... it is a let down on one hand, but people who loved the endings would certainly like to see more stories. I for one am annoyed by cliffhangers. Especially at the end of a trilogy.
Still after I watched the vids at least the endings didn't feel that bleak and empty (space magic is still space magic though)

I can't help it, but when I watch synthesis it feels as if the Borg collective has assimilated the whole galaxy.
Except that's not the case. People are still individuals.
I think we people get that and its shown in the ending itself but how Bioware goes about selling is just poor man... really poor.
They are still trying to sell to people that working the with the Reapers is a good idea when they are still in full blown evil machine mode. They did nothing to make the at least bit sympathic besides the whole... we are all trying to save you deal. Especially considering their whole reasoning is based of something the might or might not happen.

Based on what I read, this is what I think I'll do after watching the extended cut... Delete all my ME data and put the games away for good. Maybe even return them to a game store. The $10 I'll get for all three games will feel more rewarding than all this crap.
only $10 I got at least $45 when I traded mine in.

Well here's my two cents on the new endings, I have seen them all on livestream.
Overall, I am happy with the effort bioware has made, lets not forget they did this for free when they didn't have to (they already have our money remember). They seemed to listen to much of our feedback and addressed concerns like "why would joker flee?" etc. I applaud them for listening and the epilogues really make each ending unique now. A completely different feel for each ending is kind of nice. However, I am still sad that so many plot holes remain, like why would harbinger just leave and let shepard and anderson into the beam? How do crew members who you see dead on the floor after harbingers beam ressurect themselves to appear in the epilogue? There are still many plot holes, but at least they fixed some of them. The old ending was such a mess they could never fix all of them.
RED - Well, if you simply dont trust anything the reapers say and want to destroy them in the name of justice for the lives they have taken, and want shepard to live, this is the only option for you. You have to be willing to kill EDI and the geth though. This ending actually seems like the weakest of the 3 now that we understand blue and green now.
Blue - Shepard sort of becomes an immortal gaurdian of the galaxy, a God. Pretty nice ending I guess, because even though shepard dies to end the reaper threat, he lives on in a way.
Green - still a bit creepy, but the game pretty much forces you to see that this is the most beneficial ending for the galaxy as a whole. I like how they made EDI talk and say she is really alive it helped me accept and tolerate this ending for the first time. Now that we can understand the ending it is better. Even if it is still kind of far fetched and magic feeling.
Now before these endings I really fell into the camp of refusing and rejecting the reapers new solutions, and hated that we couldnt defeat the reapers we could only choose how they quit! Well, I really like that bioware gave us that option now, and I love how shepard says s/he will die knowing he died everything in his power to stop the reapers and he will be free from choosing the reapers solutions! Unfortunately, we also find out that this path causes the the horrific harvesting cycle to continue. I do like how the starkid shows his true colors when you pick this option too. He sounds like the true king of the reapers that he is when he says "so be it!". I guess I realize now, that even though I wanted the reapers to pay for what they had done to so many people, that thirst vengeance and justice was making me so stubborn that if I couldn't have it I would let the reapers win!
I guess in the end, my final verdict is I can live with the ending now, plot holes aside. I just think people need to realize, the reapers ultimately win the war. We just get lucky they agree to quit harvesting (the cycle), destroy themselves, or relinquish control of themseves, as long as we surrender to their terms. Kill the geth and edi, synthesize all life, etc. Based on these choices I guess I would say I prefer blue now since it comes with the least amount of reaper solutions being forced upon the galaxy. I just cant believe that TIM and Saren were right all along. So shepard was actually fighting against people with the right idea in ME1 and ME3. I guess I should have given cerberus the collector base at the end of ME2 after all.
I mostly agree with this take. However, even though TIM and Saren were right, they were indoctrinated and could never have accomplished their goal.
My take on the choices follows.
Destroy: The worst choice in many ways, but it still leaves hope for the future. Also, I would like to point out that when Shepard makes that choice, he/she has no way of knowing that they will survive so the argument that Shepard wouldm ake that choice in order to survive is invalid. Still the fact that it kills Edi and the Geth is the biggest argument against this option.
Control: I agree with the above statement that Shepard survives in this ending in some form. My concern is that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Will the new Shepard still be looking out for everyone a few thousand years from the end of Mass Effect 3 or will he have found his own "solution" to the problem of chaos?
Synthesis: Perhaps the best ending. Shepard's death is the worst part of this ending, but I wonder if he doesn't survive as part of the collective unconscious that includes the Reapers and, well, everyone else.
Anyway, those are my first impressions.

Refusal ending is just makes me think of Bioware saying "Hah! Take that! Don't want to pick a color? Then you'll die."
Don't worry. People who don't like it will pick their own refusal ending the next time Bioware tries to sell them a game. They had three months to address those customers. They chose to taunt them.
The catchechism of the free market provides real choice not a contrived choice that all videogames ultimately provide you inside their world.

Was that supposed to be Shepard's helmet? The 'breath' version of Destroy I watched had it in there too. I just assumed the helmet was representing all the soldiers that died or something.krukow wrote...
Does anybody know, when you play destroy on lower ems, when it talks about remembering those who died, does it show shep's burning helmet like control and synthesis do?

Agreed.
I won't go so far as to say that I'd refuse to purchase from Bioware again, but I will say that their next game will be a much harder sell.
And given that Bioware was honestly my favorite developer between roughly KOTOR and Mass Effect 2, that's saying something.

I feel very satisfied that is implied that the current galactic civilization is recovering from the war and they have hope to start over again and prosper in a positive manner. That the mass effect relays are not permanently destroyed but with time can be fixed again and that Shepard and LI can reunite soon. This is what I wanted initially. There is still hope with the destruction ending!

Personally haven’t played EC yet, I have watched the endings on Youtube though. They’re not perfect but they’re much better than what we had, however, the no reunion with LI in the Shepard Breathes ending does feel like a cop out. There are so many ways it could’ve been handled that would’ve pleased most people, a small scene where the LI is visiting Shepard while they’re in hospital, or a scene of the two of them helping with reconstruction, or just something as simple as the two of them hugging, anything would’ve been good.
Honestly, I would've been okay with this:
*Marine gets over the comm*
"We've found him, the medics say he's in critical condition, but we found him"
The LI smiles and starts to cry tears of joy
I mean, I would've preferred that over the breath scene, and I have a feeling people wouldn't be so upset than, as they would have the happy ending (and more than just the "Hope" that the current destroy ending gives, e.g. the Li doesn't put the plaque up, feels like Shepard is still alive, (s)he looks up.... we see the N7 tag and a breath... HOPE THAT THEY ARE TOGETHER, NOW HOPE DAMNIT!!!)
