They expanded upon the RBG endings to a degree that more than satisfied me and in addition they added an ended for everyone who said their Shepard would tell the starchild to shove his choices where his AI dont process.
Since the beam did not fire in that ending, giving us no color, and the absance of color is black, I have begun calling this new ending the Black ending.
"SO BE IT!"
My questions have been answered
My emotions have been run over
I am satisfied.

You do not know them, and there is not enough time to explain.
There is no time to explain where dose the Crucible come from? Bioware is not just arrogant but also lazy, I have to say that.

How anyone could think climaxing a epic space adventure franchise with some technobable about my corporal existence? Also using a just introduced antagonist, that they thought this is a good way to end it I will never understand.

I liked the improvements overall, but I still don't like how they didn't fix the biggest plothole in my mind anyways:
How does this mega fleet propose to get back to their home planets? It's not a 5 minute cruise here, the galaxy is a big place. With the mass relays gone, the journey to some of the farther worlds could take hundreds if not thousands of years. Realistically they may have won, but everyone is going to die in the cold of space in the end.
I don't think the relays are destroyed anymore. At least, it didn't seem so in the synthesis ending. Maybe they still are in the destroy ending.

The Red ending made me sad cause of EDI and the geth.
The Blue ending creeped me out
The Green ending .... still carebear in my book
The Black ending, for all those who said their Shepard wouldn't take any of the choices "SO BE IT!"

They are, and now it seems you take that breath only after the galaxys rebuilt and the crews mourned you... that part needed a little more work.

The relays are damaged.
In the Red ending they say they can fix them
In the Blue ending the reapers are fixing them
In the Green ending everyone is fixing them
In the Black ending... well, they werent damaged at all so no one fixed them

The only thing that still makes me sad is that we didn't saw a reunion with the crew in Destroy, there's so much room for fan fic and head canon, but I really wanted to see it in game.

Yep. All I really wanted was a scene where Shep's LI discovered she was alive. Really all I wanted. But I guess there were far fewer of us than I realised.
One of the goals for the Extended Cut, as part of addressing player feedback, was to provide more time with the love interest, and more opportunity for players to say goodbye to them and provide additional moments of connection between them. We did this in several ways:
- Shepard can now actually say goodbye to the love interest when they are split up at the conduit run.
- When Shepard sees flashbacks of important characters during the final decision, the flashbacks are now variable based on your playthrough – so your love interest can appear as one of the flashbacks, providing another moment of reflection between Shepard and that character.
- A memorial scene was added, partly to show a close bond between Shepard and the love interest. The scene is variable, and if Shepard has a love interest in a given playthrough, it will be that character who places Shepard’s name on the memorial wall.
- You may notice that in the “Shepard lives” ending, the love interest hesitates to place Shepard’s name on the wall, and instead looks up as though deep in thought. This is meant to suggest that the love interest is not ready to believe Shepard is dead, and the final scene reveals they are correct. As the Normandy lifts off, there is hope that the love interest and Shepard will again be together.
And this is why the EC worked for me. It was an emotional rollercoaster. Seeing Zaeed with a retirement plan that didn't involve suicide bombing Omega was also a nice touch that had me grinnig like an idiot.

20 minutes later
2nd: Shot the kid (SO BE IT) damnit....
20 minutes later
3rd Time: Destroy...whew.
Also, synthesis is not as bad..would have chosen it if not for Shep dying. Control seems very totalitarian, Destroy has a "new dawn" feeling
I have to say I liked the EC.

A few much needed band aids fail to heal what was broken, but the final voice over sequences were awesome.
Going to write a more in depth analysis tomorrow.

So, here I go. Finished the game with a secondary Shepard just 5 hours ago, and I want to get my feelings down here.
Some information first and foremost: Femshep, total paragon, romanced Liara and I played it on my brother's Xbox. I've only done this one playthrough of the ending so far, so I've only got one impression to base this off of: My first impression.
My first impressions were that of nervousness and anxiety. I had played through Cronos Station, and yet, I didn't see anything different! I chalked this up to having never romanced Liara before ("Maybe her romance was just altered a bit!") but when we got to Earth, I really got nervous. I was kind of hoping we'd get a few cameos by old squaddies thrown in here and their, kind of like "Hey! There's Wrex on that hill! He's fighting Banshees! Thanks, Wrex," and when that didn't happen, I was honestly a bit bummed out. And then, when the same audio bugs popped up (Krogan shoots shotgun, where's the sound?) I got really nervous. I was almost convinced that I hadn't downloaded the DLC properly.
Thankfully, when we reached the dash to the beam, it all panned out. I was just so thrilled to see something different that I turned giddy with excitement for what was next! Saying Goodbye to Liara really hit me hard, harder than I thought it would, because I realized this was the last goodbye, the special one reserved for your LI of choice, and in that moment my stomach sank as my heart rose for this fiction "Love" between two lumps of polygons (When I play it with Tali, I'm just gonna burst into tears, I know it). Knowing the endings ahead just made it all the more tragic, and the final stare-down with Harbinger was pretty awesome.
After jumping through the beam (After finishing off a neutered Marauder Shields - great cameo, BTW) the one thing I noticed and appreciated was the new animations made for Shepard flying through the beam - That told me Bioware was taking it seriously and that I could look forward to the end. A few plot-hole-covers, and we finally meet the Starchild.
And, now, we can analyze this like there's no tomorrow!
First of all, yes, StarChild still has his major flaws, but at least Bioware covered up all of the smaller plot inconsistencies. They gave him more depth, more dialogue - Not a great amount, to be sure, but enough to get a tiny understanding of his character. And, you can argue with him! It's still a "Dick out of Nowhere!" plot device, but the dialogue options help smooth it out, and he becomes less frustrating to talk to.
I do want to point out something here, though, a tiny nit-pick, which is that the whole exchange felt a bit stilted to me. It felt like a half-hearted compromise, stuck between the fans and the creators, and it suffered for it. It felt a bit uneven... but as I said, it's a nitpick, and the benefits of the expanded dialogue far outweigh the awkwardness that was introduced. As far as gameplay goes, they hit the nail on the head (in my own amateur opinion, of course - I don't want to claim any expertise on the matter)
Showing hints as to the outcome of each choice was a good call, Bioware. Less Artistic ambiguity, of course, but it helped make that decision all the more tense. Gameplay wise, it was the absolute best move to make, and I'm kind of proud that, though my head was set on synthesis, the hints of the expanded outcome of Control made that choice more preferable to my Femshep, and I wrenched her from her plotted path and chose a new one. I was nervous, of course; I was scared for my Shepard and the consequences of her actions, but something told me this is the path she'd prefer. It was something SHE would do, not me, and I think that's marvelous character-work, if nothing else.
The slideshows were alright, and I was pleased to see what happens to relays hit by blue light, but it was almost humorous how many times Bioware was forced to do a complete 180 in their rewrites to give us a happy ending. First, Joker was panicking, and now he's calm, and though the Normandy still crashes, it just picks up and flies away, like nothing happened (Making that whole "shipwreck" scene incredibly, comically pointless). Still, not a complaint. And let me say, Paragon Femshep's monologue was badass at the end, and really gave me closure.
Yep, closure. The term been thrown around a lot lately, but I think it applies here. I knew her actions mattered, I knew I had made the right choice (ironic, yeah, but that is how I felt), but the best part was the very ending: The acknowledgment of the crew, of the characters, as being the binding glue for this entire saga. I thought that was a perfect touch, as was the reworked ending card. It was much more personal than a standard request to play more DLC, and it touched my heart, in all honesty.
So, was the EC good?
It was better than what we got, that's for certain. As others have pointed out, had this been the ending we got, we'd have never made such a hissy fit in the first place. It's still not perfect - The Catalyst is still a bitter pill to swallow, London wasn't as improved as I'd hoped, Harbinger prefers to stare at the Normandy instead of blasting it out of the sky, and overall, I've read fanfictions of all types that have endings more preferable to this (in different ways, mind you) - but it is doable, and quite frankly, I'm ready to accept this ending. I'm kind of tired of complaining, (not analyzing, though!) and I do want to move on. If the EC provides that, then I won't complain. I'd rather enjoy this game, warts and all, than argue about it any more. The damage is done, the bandaid is applied, and there's not much more we can do here except learn from the experience. This ending is good enough for me to work with, and best of all, it has me wanting to go back and play again. Now, I want to see how my choices affect this game! They may not change at all, it may be another red-herring, and extremely cruel practical joke, but the EC has given me the hope I need to see my various Shepards through to their appropriate endings. And I'm not going to look up the endings on youtube, that's a cheap cop-out - I only did it last time because I started playing a week after it came out and by then the ending controversy had already spread. I want to discover the fates of my Shepards at my own pace, and I'm at least grateful Bioware gave me the slightest chance for a happy ending.
It's all I really wanted.
So, there's my ramblings. I wanted to get this out while it was fresh, so I'm sorry for spelling mistakes and such. Still, I'm glad I wrote it.

That is EXACTLY how mine went. I wanted to see what happen with rejection and destroy. Control and synthesis were not a option, as I find both of those choice revolting for the character of Commander Shepard.

The EC IMO - was a disappoinment but I'm thankful Bioware.
What I was hoping to see:
- Cinematics of Krogan, Rachni, Turians, Quarians etc. All fighting together. This is Earth and the end of the game. We need Action....didn't see a whole lot. Earth IMO was such a dry-barebones mission...so uninteresting and not fun at all....
- Harbinger! Where was Harbinger??? No Conversation with Harbinger. You even hired the VA for Harbinger in ME3 and not even gave him one line...........c'mon Bioware this is ME3!!!!!!
- Miranda, Jack, Samara, Zaeed, .......great potentail characters neglected
You did made the effort to respond to fans. Though I will remember to be more careful of Bioware now in the future. I won't pre-order anymore of your products, I have seen how awful ME3 is and the hype you gave it. ME3 was not Epic at all. And to say the ending is Epic is a massive Lie IMO. The Ending should be Sucide Mission 2 where Shepard and Crew go to Darkspace and have an Epic Showdown. That's IMO is what the ending should have been. But, I do Thank you for making the DLC Free. Thank you for the ME Franchise to Casey Hudson and the rest of Bioware. It was the TEAM that made ME 1,2, and.........well ME3 is not on my list. It needs to be erase.
If you want more future suggestion and constructive feedback please read my ME3 Review

They were not bad, just not great. Feels sad that such a great series ends on a mediocre note. I do appreciate the effort by Bioware, but I don't know... I will still be very sceptic on future titles. I still consider this whole mess a fiasco; you shouldn't have to release a 1.9 gig DLC to extend the ending of a game; you're doing something wrong in that case.
We will see how Dragon Age III turns out. If that works well then I will seriously consider believing in Bioware again. Until then, I will remain on the sidelines.
