You laugh but I always had some dark suspicions about Liara's little present, and the idea that she would take the time to "harvest" Shepard's unique persona/heritage is not unthinkable....not at all.

One thing I found weird about the Reject ending was when the Starbrat walked away a Repear voice that sounded like Harbinger went "SO BE IT. THE CYCLE CONTINUES."

Kind of makes you think twice about Starbrat's intentions.

On the reject ending do you actually see the next cycle beating the Reapers? Or do they just give you a text explanation or voice on a black screen that says they do? And how do they defeat them?

Instead of Buzz doing the Stargazer scene it's a woman who implies that they beat the Reapers.

If you shoot the starkid, it's an automatic "reject" ending.

So let me see if I've got this 'Rejection' right... If Shepard doesn't meekly agree with the leader of the Reapers and his stupid logic, then s/he dooms all of his/her cycle and Liara saves the next one single-handedly. Lovely.

I still think the 'reject' ending is a rather petty move on the part of Bioware, but it's nice you can in fact shoot the damn kid.

The word I would use is 'petty' and IMHO that's exactly what it is.  Pettiness on the part of the writers.

i can confirm that the 'reject all options' choice is real. it only happens if you shoot the star child. his voice will get all scary, he'll say 'so be it' and guess what? YOU LOSE ANYWAY. you see a hologram of liara saying they failed. the end scene with buzz aldrin talking has a woman voicing it now.
