God bioware, if they made the reject ending having a good outcome they would have been saved in my eyes. i can deal with shepard dying but making it all a losing battle? lame

You do realise that it took an entire fleet to take out ONE capital ship, right?  The crucible was a last ditched effort because regular tactics were feeble.  You'd go down fighting but you'd still inevitably lose

People wanted a reapers win scenario and now they got one.  I don't have a problem with it.  You wanted a choice to reject everything and in the end you do nothing which costs you.

IA with you. No choice is still a choice, no matter if its good or bad.

You have the option to shoot zombies coming into your home, but you don't want to cause you know them?

You wind up dead.

Simple as that.

Then again, I knew people were going to throw a fit when this came out all along, so I'm not surprised. All in all, from what I've seen and heard, I'm happy with it. Then again, I was happy with the endings as is.

good for you, let's continue harvesting sheeps ...

No chance of a happy ending with a reunite with LI, with other words

It was too hard for BW to make this one scene.

ARRRRRRRGH! WHY?! Casy? Mike?! WHY?! Was that really to much?! GOD DAMN IT!

That was the only scene I wanted them to add and if they didn't, then this "Extended Cut" was pointless to me. If they had added it, they would have redeemed themselves a bit, but oh well.

So, let me get this straight, there really aren't any answers, or clarification? Nothing explaining what the Green ending means or actually results in?

True art is dark, nobody has ever become famous making things that end on a happy note. :police:

Yeah, it was probably too hard for BW to make this one scene.

At least I don't have to bother now to download that EC....Seeing shepard together ALIVE with a FUTURE was mostly the only thing I really wanted to see...

Ah well...I always was afraid it would come to this...Image IPB

Is the chat iwth the Starbrat a little more convincing or it's still the same "I'VE SAID THAT YOU HAVE TO TRUST THE GHOST CHILD, DAMN IT!!!" ?

I think it's ok that they not show it. The story is supposed to end in a somber mood. If the scenario makes a re-union plausible instead of impossible, that's enough for me.

People wanted a 'Reapers win' scenario as a result of not being prepared. Y'know, an actual loss. Not Shepard's fighting spirit thrown back in his face by the cruel puppetmasters out of spite.

Yeah, the problem with the 'Reapers Winning' in this context is that the Reapers "win" by Shepard remaining true to the same ideals that were major themes in ME1 and ME2. It's like Bioware punishes you for playing Shepard as true to him/herself.

Not true. What ideals Shepard is true to is the players' choice. As I see it, the goal was always "stop the Reapers". Every other motivation lies in the player's imagination.

I really like this "Reapers win, but there's hope for the next cycle" scenario. It fits very well, and it still doesn't feel like a complete and utter failure because you've warned the next cycle.

And unlike the last cycle you gave them a warning that actually makes sense.

All you get is this:

If you shoot starbrat, he says "So be it!" in a harby kind of voice. The screen fades and then you are told the Reapers
continued the cycle. You are shown a holographic message from Liara on what looks like the jungle crash planet saying they built the crucible and it doesn't work.

We then get the credits and the stargazer scene except this time it's a female instead of Buzz Aldrin doing the
voiceover and they appear to be Asari looking at the model.

Wow, having just played through the end egain on Xbox, I must admit, all they really added was a sort of micky mouse spoon fed selection of dialogue to "explain" what they must have felt people were unclear on. The endings are still jarringly awfull but now are now over explained and have new slideshows.
I dared to have a little hope, sad really.

Because artistic integrity.

Serioulsy, anyone who was looking forward to EC fixing that clusterf*ck of an ending was taking a trip to the lala land.

It's nice that they tried, it's nice that they gave it away for free, but some things smash so hard, there's no point in picking up the pieces.

One more scene is not much. Others will agree with that.

Though as far as I read here, we don't know if the LI outside of the Normandy (Miranda and Jack) or the non-squadmate LI had a scene when they thinks about Shepard.
Of course, the reunion is possible in every case, but I'd like to see other LI having a scene too.

So the red, blue and green scenarios are exactly the same as the original endings?

lol, just watched Joker leave on a live play. Still a coward, but it's okay because they make one of your squad tell him to, so they betray Shepard as well.

Tried? They were stale on keeping their artistic integrity intact. Well… There are no words. They had this ONE chance, and they blew it with arrogance. Congrats on your demise…

Not sure if I should put this in a spoiler cut. I don't post here often lol, so someone let me know if I should spoiler this even though I'm in a spoiler allowed section.

I'm using the same account to explore all the 3 (four?) endings. So far did Synthesis and Control and the pictures after the Normandy crashes were pretty much the same, but with slight differences. The voice over is different. Synthesis has EDI narrating while Control has an AI Shepard narrating. EDI's narration emphasizes a new begining and how synthetics and organics are rebuilding. Control has AI Shepard talking about immortality and power and how s/he will make sure to repair the galaxy or something. The tone was eerie and very fitting. Synthesis is still my favorite at the moment. Doing the reject next.
