honestly, hell if I know. Part of me is happy they tried at all, most of it I like. I feel like control is the best ending now, but it still comes across as they weren't really trying.

I really do like the refusal ending seems more like what should happen than anything else imho.

I never wanted a reunion, I saw my squad just before I left to finish the fight, why would I want to see them yet again?
It's filled in a lot of the gaps, maybe not in spectacular ways, but it's at least passable.
The reject ending is excellent, in my opinion!
