Lazy.

Uninspired.
A product fitting for what I dub "New Bioware," responsible for ToR and DA2. And not to be confused with the company who made products such as KotOR, JE, DA or ME1/2.
Afraid the best are behind them ladies and gentlemen.

I love the trend of how the best Bioware game was always the one right before the most recent.
I remember the days when Neverwinter Nights was deemed a poor sucessor to Baldur's Gate and Jade Empire was decried as being a dumbed-down actionized adventure game. And when ME2 was also declared as such. Now it's held up as a martyr like all the rest.

Thank You
[Bioware, for making it easy for me to say "goodbye" to You. While playing EC, I was laughing about most of the changes. The ending cutscenes, however, are much better. But the thing I hate the most - You showed that You really do not care. And it saddens me that only thought I had in my head while the credits were rolling was "That's 300+ hours of my life and 100$ for ME3 and who knows how much for the ME2 and ME1 I will never see again. Once epic story, turned into a waste of money and time."]

Cathartic. If ME had released with this ending, we wouldn't all be here complaining about it.
I concur...it was still a bad ending to a great series, but it was passable as far as sci-fi stories go. I'd certainly describe it as "better" than the original, "speculation-heavy" endings. My only real question now is how that took them 3 months to create and get released. It was just a couple of extra lines of dialogue and a couple of cutscenes that weren't even up to par with the release game's quality! They should have had it finished, if not out, within a month!

Great original ending was very hollow and they fleshed it out.

Acceptable.
To be honest I was more concerned with the continuation of the story with in the Mass Effect universe. At least now I have hope that there will be other Mass Effect games with a new leading character, a new story to tell and a new adventure to take part in. Besides, if I pick the blue explosion, Shepard will be the Guardian of Forever.
