From what I gather, the 1.9 GB thing relates to the content in total. That is, you cannot see everything the DLC has to offer in one playthrough. It requires a different playthrough with different decisions to show the other version(s).Soultaker08 wrote...
1.9 Gigabyte?!?
Something like that anyway.

EC: Polished turd (if I had to use only one word, it would be unsatisfactory).
PR: Dishonest and Reprehensible.
BW: Failure.
EA: Greedy sharks.
I could go on extensively, but whether I'll do so in a post or in a YT video I haven't decided yet.

No, seriously. The core problem with the massive thematic/narrative u-turn is still there, and synthesis still makes no sense, but I think the EC is a huge improvement on the original. It's still silly, but it's not a game-killer anymore, imho. And to me it's mainly because now it actually feels like the game ENDED. The vanilla version felt like it just stopped.

Solves nothing and opens more plot holes.
I'm done with EAWare. Enough is enough.

In one word: Terrible.
But wait: that's actually a pretty big improvement. Before it, the ending was an unbelievable, mind-blowing, apocalyptic trainwreck. Now it's just plain terrible.
Simply put, explaining a terrible idea still leaves it a terrible idea. Everything wrong with the entire approach is still just as wrong as on day #1.
The concept is still stolen from Deus Ex or Foundation's Edge
The crucible is still a cheap plot device, a contrived and hamfisted deus ex machina with no proper explanation and no roots in the universe's lore or general setting.
Hologram Brat is still unbearable.
The 3 "choices" are still between dictatorship, genocide or eugenics (with added "suicide" option, yay!)
Cerberus is still ridiculously blown out of proportion.
Kai Leng still is a pathetic failure as an antagonist.
As is TIM in this iteration.
The ending still violates about every rule (written or unwritten) of storytelling
The ending still violates about every rule of roleplaying game design
It still discards all player's previous choices
It still goes *completely* against the series previous central themes or philosophies
And it still goes against everything that the advance hype promised...
But that's okay. It gave me closure. I'm done with this game and the 2 before for good, Bioware has been removed from my "preorder" or "buy on release day" list, time to simply move on. Cheers.
CRITICAL MISSION FAILURE

The endings are still bad, but not as bad as before. Makes it much more bearable.
