My sociopathic renegade will be right there with you, proving that people who have no concern for anything other than their own happiness are the real winners in life. Hurray Crow! Go on another murder spree, no one will stop you. You can rule earth now as a dictatorship if you want to!

Jesus... aren't you taking this a bit too seriously?

No, I'm just roleplaying. Now that I know what kind of story Mass Effect is, I have to discard my main Shepard (who would never dream of commiting genocide) and focus on my LoL Shepard. The protagonist of Mass Effect is someone who would be willing to commit genocide to save themselves, so I was obviously playing it wrong.

I mean, now I know that Mass Effect is actually set in the Warhammer universe, which makes perfect sense. I'm gonna go Slaanesh, I think. Are you gonna go Nurgle? Or maybe Khorne... he loves the capital letters. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD and all that.

Could someone maybe post a list of the questions answered, not the answers themselves?

I can't understand people complaining about the geth sacrifice, its just logical for the destroy ending and it also would be too easy to choose if there wouldn't be some negative point.

If you're gonna go, go in style. Thank you BioWare, may you burn to the ground.

Very nicely said, especially the last part.

First LOST, then ME3 and IT, shame on me I guess. The thing I do not like is, that they are still liars. They said that the ending will not be like LOST ending and yet, here we are.

Bioware you do not understand do you?

I have to admit from what I seen the ending is now alot better, I still have some problems with it but I'm satisfied now.

Well done Bioware.

I'm not attacking you. I'm sorry if it seemed that way.

I just think it's silly in general that the happy endings are available only to characters who commit genocide. I really do have a renegade character capable of committing genocide who I'm going to play. I created her a long time ago, so I could see all the horrible choices that I would feel bad making: killing Wrex, burning the factory workers on Zaeed's mission, killing Samara, selling Legion, all that stuff.

It's not your fault that you had to commit genocide to secure your happiness... it's the game's fault. I'm not mad at you, I'm frustrated by the moral problems inherent in the destroy ending.

And all you had to do to get it was commit genocide!

Truly, you deserve a happy ending the most, because of your willingness to end the lives of an entire sentient race. Congratulations!

Who, the Geth?  Those aren't real people silly, they're just uppity machines.  You can brainwash them with math errors and they've been trying to kill you for three games.  Their sacrifice will lead to a better, safer galaxy.

:D

I felt hope when Hackett said they were rebuilding.....and Starchild says something to the effect that Synthetics might be rebuilt by "your children" or something to that effect. So i took it as....they will be back...maybe this time they (organics) will get it right.

and perhaps EDI's new body was destroyed....but SHE is the Normandy....so she is there somewhere

I chose Synthesis for my first time experiencing the EC, and it was definitely good. While still not perfect (there were a few more things I would have liked to see/know about), it was very pleasing and much better than what we had before.

I just saw Control. SO much better. I think it's my canon ending now, instead of destroy.

I'd like to throw my support into this as well.

Thank you, Bioware. I was personally very pleased with the changes to the Destroy ending. That is the ending I chose and it was made so much better. I feel like it was truly the ending to MY Shepard.

Thank you. <3

And....Touché. I guess I can't unload bullets into the catalyst kid in frustration anymore, but now I have no reason to! ^_^

I guess...in response to what I keep reading about mass genocide with the Destroy ending:
Hackett's epilogue insisted that everything could be rebuilt. I know that the reaper tech is all gone now, but there must be remnants. I choose to believe that the synthetics we fell in love with can be rebuilt as well...eventually. Bioware gave me to no reason to believe otherwise. On the contrary, the new endings gave a bit of new hope for that.

I really hope I'll feel the same way when I play through the EC. Killing off EDI and the Geth was horrible.

I haven't actually played the Extended Cut yet (alas, I have class this morning), but I am pretty much satisfied with what I've read about the endings with this little addition. I could live with the 3 Star-Child options. For the record, I chose Destroy during my main play-through mainly because I thought synthesis was somewhat icky and that the control route could eventually back-fire. I think the biggest problem I had with the original endings is what happened with the Normandy...I found it to be random and a bit unnecessary. And that appears to be fixed so I'm happy.

Sure, there are other issues that I wish were addressed, but that's just me being nit-picky. Honestly, I think Bioware did a good job with this, and I really do thank them for going beyond what was required from them.

Agreed. I loved this ending. Addressed almost every issue, and was awesome all the way through.

Go Bioware!

Very excited for the EC now. You know it's good when the positive responses sound genuine and the negative ones are trollish.

I'm not whining.

The moral of Mass Effect is that willingness to commit genocide is a virtue that will allow you to save the ones you love. Really and truly, I wish I had a non-renegade player who I had previously roleplayed as being capable of genocide, so I could be as happy about the destroy ending as most other people are.

Okay, that's something. Will refrain from asking exactly what you can talk about.^_^
