Forgive? Nope. I might have liked a lot of things about it, but it's still unforgivable this debacle happened at all, and still leaves a lot of problems with the game.

Forgive? I'd say yes. As far as my Sheps are concerned, most plot holes are now small enough to gloss over with appropriate headcanon. The Destroy future is now exactly what my Sheps fought for, and even though I'd loved to see them get reunited with their friends and loved ones and make babies, that's something I can imagine for myself.

I especially appreciated that they removed the "Buy moar DLC" dialogue. That part had me in stitches.

So I say forgive, but never forget. This may happen again.

The damage is done, but I think I can forgive.

Unfortunately they still didn't deal with the plot holes. Why have ME1 at all if the crucible is on the citadel? The thing I think they hit on was the emotional note. I think they nailed that one, but that being said, it's at best LOST, all emotion, no sense or reason.

Let's not even go into the stupidity of having a magic wave of color somehow make everyone in the universe some synthetic organic hybrid. If you ignore all sense, reason and physics, it sounds great, but for those of us who require more to suspend disbelief it fails hard.

Already deleted ME and Origin, and I can't say I'll ever reinstall after seeing the videos. I'm sure the emotional note will be enough for some. I just wish it was enough for me.  Unfortunately Bioware has decided to craft works that are not in line with my expectations in writing, so I will no longer be supporting them.

I wonder what is the trade in value of ME3? 10$? Less?

They did their best to salvage the ending, and they succeeded to a point. The endings themselves are still flawed, but executed much better, definitely giving us what they promised this time (closure). I didn't come into the EC expecting Shepard to be reunited with his crew, just closure to the entire trilogy and it did so satisfactorily. (In fact I was dreading that the ending was going to do a 180 and turn from plain depressing to a Hollywood ending...)

Also, replacing that distasteful DLC message at the end with a heartfelt thanks was definitely a good move on their part...

All and all, excited for any future single player DLC released in the future. Bioware has regained my faith.

I found it no more satisfying than the original. The only improvement was the acknowledgement that the other races still exist at all.

I have nothing to forgive since it was a good game experience untill the awfull ending. Still, no DLC for me and probably I will uninstall everything from my PC.

Totally. The scene with EDI and Liara hugging is enough for me to forgive them alone.

As far as my original expectations (pre-ME3 release) go, not even close. But hey, my expectations for BioWare have plummeted since I played ME3.

Basically the three endings are unchanged save for a few quickly rendered cutscenes and animations to semi-close the blatant & nonsensical plot points. The only "new" ending is basically Shepard standing back and giving up in a "passive-aggresive" resistance.

Don't care anymore. Goodbye, BioWare.

Yes. Bioware gave the people the details they wanted while still leaving the ending open-ended for possible interpretation. I'm more disappointed that the EC was necessary in the first place. But oh well.

'Forgive'? An odd choice of words, methinks. But, if the current marketplace tries to bind customers to franchises through loyalty, then should such loyalty not be shown vice versa?

In any case: the EC was decent enough. I still have issues with the game, but it made me willing to replay the game. That is what I asked from EC, and that is all it had to accomplish. So, kudos to Bioware for that.

Does it mean I will blindly buy the next Bioware game on pre-order? No. That, I will not. But, I might buy it, if it is good enough. I will no longer refuse to buy any game from Bioware or EA on principle.

So, there you have it.

No. I am still going to treat Bioware like any other gaming company. Prior to this, I pre-ordered most of their games. Now, they will have to come out first and I will wait for reviews from people/companies that I trust before buying their product, like any other game. It's what I *should have done* with ME3. Although, let's be honest, there was no way anyone who played ME1 and ME2 wasn't going to buy ME3, no matter what the reviews said.

So as long as they put out quality games again, I'll buy them. Just not at release. I'm not going to be someone who is like "You screwed up Mass Effect, so in retribution, I shall never buy any games from you ever again, no matter how awesome they might be! Mwahaha! That'll teach you!"

But the trust is gone, and the EC did not fix that.

Endings are ok and dont kill replayability as the original endings did.
They are even good endings by a normal, forgettable game, standards. But not under ME quality standards.

I think IT had more potential but oh well.

For the record, games are never traded back in for over a third of their retail price. Which would have left you at about 25, anyhow, immedeately post-release. A Triple-A game like ME3 tends to saturate the market quickly, which leads to a lot of people buying the game, and selling it again. So, 10 dollar is quite normal for a game in this stage. (Especially considering the extra bots of CE are near-worthless post-release, and only worth soemthing to a colector...who would have bought the game in retail, not second-hand)

I'm probably here.  I certainly wont be buying anymore ME games without some reviews first.  I think what chaps my hide is Bioware's attitude about the ending and the whole artistic integrity nonsense.  If they had said...The fans obviously hate our ending and we will do what we can to fix it," then I could have accepted this EC.  But it seems to me that they did this kicking and screaming.

If this had been the original ending, there wouldn't have been such a huge backlash. I think the original ending will still overshadow the EC, especially since it was released almost out of the blue, without any announcement at E3.

Synthesis reminds me of one of the endings to War Wind.

Control is definitely the most chilling ending.
