If BioWare makes a good game, I want to buy it. For me its as simple as that. Just focus on making great games again like ME1 and 2. Everyone can forgive a mistake now and then.

And while you're at it stop making false promises to sell games, don't bulls*it us because it only hurts you in the end.

The "reject" ending is by no means what I envisioned, but it's better than the StarBrat options. ME3 isn't (and will never be) the masterpieces that ME and ME2 were ... and the fact that StarBrat is still part of the game pisses me off, but it's an ending that I can at least pick and be okay with.
As far as forgiving BioWare? Not really. Their games will be bargain bin buys from here on out.

No way.

They did the same cheap stunt - again.

The main part of the ending is the 4-minute sequence of artwork that barely different - the glowing green eyes are stupid beyond belief.

They are unquestionable better than the original ones, but the main problem remains: the Catalyst.

Agreed.

The endings did not satsify me and I defintely am not about to forgive. This has gone exactly as Bioware wanted it too.

PR damage control from the very beggining. Delay as long as possible before responding to fan outrage. Then claim that it is only a vocal minority who dislike the endings.

Spew out the nonsense that they are "LISTENING", all that listening clearly did them no good because the VAST majority of feedback wanted a DIFFERENT ending NOT a clarification.

Then say they are going to release an extended version to satisfy and answer some of the issues that us poor dumb fans can't understand, but say they are going to maintain their "ARTISTIC INTEGRITY" which was a huge giant pile of rubbish.

This artistic integrity rubish became their go to excuse to tell fans that they could not as a matter of principle change ending. As if it would violate some supreme law of the cosmos.

They also new that saying there was going to be an exteneded DLC coming out would quell the fan outrage enough that the backlash would essentially diminish enough to take the pressure off them so they would not have to listen to the fans.

They then give us this pathetic excuse for an ending as a "fix". In which they put in just enough to satisfy enough people so that the backlash dies down and they can say that they saved face.

So now in the future they can say "look how nice and good a company we are" we listened to our fans and changed the endings.

NO WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG.

They have treated all of us like entitled idiots from day one, and it seems to me begrudingly offered us this DLC because they absolutely had to. The impression i have recieved now and through out is that this has always been about MONEY EGO ARROGANCE and an outright refusal to acknowledge in any way that they were wrong.

They had an opportunity with this DLC to truly save face and make the Mass Effect series one of the greatest stories not just in gaming history but Science fiction and in my opinon they completely and utterly missed the boat, dropped the ball, fumbled the pass....however you want to put it, a complete an utter failure.

Well said.

As for me I'm probably through with Bioware games in the future as well. They just aren't the same company anymore.

I appreciate the attempt Bioware made. It's not forgiven in the sense that I'll never preorder their stuff again. But w/e.

Absolutely not. It's every bit as terrible as the original ending.

I'm still... so and so. I like how in my Destroy ending there was a chance for a reunion off screen and it seemed pretty hopeful. As in the galaxy isn't screwed. And the endings actually feel a bit more different now than just different colors.

I can't forgive Bioware entierly, because the original ending stung too much and how they treated Thane as a LI and forgot about him. And I still think ME3 is the worst in the series, but thats just my opinion.

But at least I feel I can still trust them with games again. Maybe I won't pre order but I see myself buying their games still.

YES!!!!...but I have only ONE BIG LAST QUESTION: What happened with Shepard??? This "One-Breathe-Scene" is confusing me...have they found him on the citadel??? The other things were very good, but at last we do not know what happened with Shepard O.o

I would certainly say yes. Much more satisfying than before. I finished it just now, and I'm happy with it.

I have to agree with this. ME3 has replay value now :)

Yes, although it's still FAR from perfect.

I was really skeptical when they announced the EC. But BioWare pulled it off, congratulations.
Despite starchild, some remaining plotholes and space magic :wizard: synthesis, after chosing destroy I felt satisfied enough. Victory at a cost, instead of feeling like a war criminal sending the galaxy into a new dark age.

Looks like about half the people will forgive them. I would say they mark this DLC as worthy investment.

People who do not forgive:

a) didn't get their particular vision delivered
B) like to complain
c) are stubborn
d) all of above!

I'd say yes, it is good that they sorted out the worst of plotholes. I don't think I have ever seen as much cutscene as there was at the end of ME3 EC. I do not like the fact that it took that much effort to explain their vision, but there it is, finally complete.

Still think it's horrible. I don't care who lives or dies or the closure, everything from that Beam, is just wrong in every sense. I had that crap in Dragon Age 2, i didn't need it here. The whole game was about guns, lots of gunds, giant guns.. turns out 98% of all time spent was basicly a waste of time based on HOW to end it, Go mars, Get plans, Ask Hackett to build.. Land on earth, run into a giant deathray, survive what would destroy a cruiser, and go into the magically enhanced citadel and open arms, overriding the super AI... I didnt smoke pot like BW did and failed to make any sense at all out of this.

*points at the door* Thats where the real world is, go out, speak to people, you will see that them agreeing or Not agreeing with you on things are not soley based on the 4 choices you wrote.

well he's alive but now he's stuck on the citadel that was badly damaged and appears to have lost power so odds are he's going to run out of air/bleed to death soon. Gotta figure the normandy was on "eden planet" for at least a few days for repairs.  Still a big question there but destroy was better then the original (not saying much) still a cop out though especially on those slides. Isn't there a youtube video where some fan took still slides and made a MUCH better ending then we got?

Excuse me for not being a GOD or a supercomputer. I thought about that post for only a minute. In my eyes, it was reasonably punny summary of the general mood in this thread.

Yes, I liked the endings and personnally I prefered Destroy. Would have liked it though if I had seen some of my war assets in action, but everything else was just fine for me.

Let's see:

Synthesis is so over-the-top positive it's a parody of the ;'happy ending" concept

Destroy, especially Destroy+ is the red-headed stepchild. After all they did for Synthesis they couldn't even put Shep and crew in teh same picture? I genocided a race for this?

Refuse ending: Nice idea, execution is pretty much an FU to people who didn't like RGB "You take our choices or else!"

Control is the only halfway decently done outcome, kind of how I'd imagine it beiing my mind

So, no not enough to forgive. Not near enough

They have turned a stinking load of crap into an odorless ****. Sure, it's much better now, and it doesn't stink anymore, but it's still a ****.

In my perspective Bioware handled the endings well with the extended cut.

The process though does in no way redeem the company for me:

- release of basically an unfinished product
- bad PR
- multiple fingers to the fans

I'll keep my suspicions raised as well with future releases and just read fan reviews as I stated earlier.
