Forgive? Yes. I got the ending I honestly feel is the best for my vision of Shepard. (I took Destroy, with only 2236 EMS, so I didnt get the breath at the end scene). Seeing my name being put on the memorial wall by Tali was just so....perfect. (Though did I see EDI standing in the crowd? Or did I imagine that? Will have to play through again and double-check)

However, that being said, Forgiving isnt forgetting. I will definately be a little more hesitant to pre-order anything from BioWare for a while. But I think I can say they have convinced me to remain a (albeit cautious) customer, for the time being.

If you pick Destroy, EDI's name is on the memorial wall.

Ok. Must have confused that with the scene from Control. Good to know!

I don't like the word "forgive" in this context. but to roll with the topic yes.

To my own surprise more than anyone's I actually walked out of the EC happy. And I hated the original ending.

If this had been in the original, I very much doubt a 100th of the controversy that has been stirred by it would have happened. Which is a huge shame for Bioware.
I loved it. Was never anything to forgive, only to hope they'd make something more of it.. Which they have now done, and done so supremely well.

Well no the extended cut is not enough to forgive bioware, I do not think I will ever go back to being a trusting pre-ordering fan. However it was a slight improvement and I will attempt to remain unbiased when considering any future efforts on their part.

At the end of the day Bioware went out their way to bring us this Extended cut. that for me is enough to show they actually do care about the fans. yes the EC is great and i am very happy with it. Harbinger actually spoke and the AI actually explained things alot better. Overall good job bioware.

Cared for their fans? No. Cared for their future bottom line? Absolutely

I'm in between I'm more happy and less confused than before. I though still and want New Endings, a DLC where Shepard, Crew and LI reunite. That all I want and free roaming. Anything Mass Effect I buy, I hope for future games and content, New and more DLC. Mass Effect is one of the best and greatest series, Universe out there.

You have to be a ahole to disagree to that.

Yeah neither do I therefore I'm not going to use it, but was the EC satisfying? No not really, since it didn't change anything and it didn't change the ending. All it did was answering some minor issues such as how your two squad members from the London mission got on the Normandy.

meh went from a F to a D+ in my book.

But in all honesty I think american gaming companies ned to take a piece of advice from Japan. Dont switch writers (unless there is a death) in the middle of a franchise. Its the reason we dont have a Crono Trigger 2, is because they dont want to make a second game without he orginal people, because "it wouldn't be the same"

It's enough to make me wait for more opinions on both "professional" and consumer sides of the coin on the next Bioware game and possibly consider getting the next one.

I really want DA3 but I will wait.  If there is another outrage I will wait on a price drop.  Gone are the days of preordering and buying most games at full price/week one for me.

With that said, I was never loyal to Bioware.  I felt betrayed sure, but they are still a company.  The first bioware game I had was Mass Effect 1 and the next Bioware series I played was Dragon Age Origins.  I haven't played anything else.  It is what it is now.

Has the EC satisfied me enough to want to go replay the game again like I did with the other two and play retake omega or whatever SPDLC they have planned?  Doubtful.  *Shrug*

Like I said before on this forum, if I was satisfied, so be it.  If I wasn't, I'd shrug and uninstall the whole ME series from my computer to free up space.

Right now, I'm somewhat satisfied after having really really low expectations.  I am not sure what I will do a few weeks or more from now though.

I really liked the Extended Ending :)
Wish :( it had been the original ending though, damage has been done.
The Mass Effect Team took the series, gameplay, and story into a direction . . .
I'll part ways with the series and BioWare. It has been fun.
. . . wish Tail's face was shown more lol XD

Nope.

They still made a half-assed game, excluding Rannoch/Tuchanka.

Thanks for the sprinkles on my **** ending, it's still ****.

Very well put, haha :D

Wasn't going to coment anything on the Extended(?)Cut, but I simply couldn't ignore this comment, as it might well be the single most utterly idiotic comment I've read in this whole forum, and that just "Nothing short of amazing". Afther all the explanations on what was wrong with the ending and what the EC have delivered, I can't understand any-****ing-one who didn't like the ending before would like it now, I can accept (sort of at least ...) people liking it before the EC and liking it more now, but come the **** on, it's got the same damn flaws the original had, and the fact that it seems to have been worked on makes it even more pityful, they could have saved all that money and work and put it to good use in delivering a good game with Dragon Age 3, that they won't either, so was it satisfying: hell ****ing NO. Did I expect it to be like this: HELL ****ING YES. So, good night and good luck, that's the last any of you guys is ever going to see of me.

Sorry, I have a hard time comprehending why you were still here in the first place when you knew that it was going to be the same endings and after they announced they were only expanding for closure.  <_<

Granted, I still dislike the premise of the endings but many other things that actually really pissed me off, such as the idea that everyone is stranded in that current cycle and screwed, have been disproven and clarified.

Your expectations must've been higher than you let on if you're still here.

Yes, to me it saved the series. It is not perfect, they could have done much more, especially the lack of war assets like the Rachni or geth are not shown. Or if they had gone with the IT it would have probably been more awesome. But as of now I am satisfied, and I will start replaying this great game. I am satisfied.

Yes, it's not perfect, it still leaves a lot of the plot holes in place, but it shows me the consequences of my choices, so I can accept it as it stands. It makes me think that the writers made some huge assumptions with the ending, they knew what they were talking about, but didn't do anything to show us so we were left fumbling in the dark. Bioware you dropped the ball, but your recovery, while it may not be a win, it at least keeps it from being a loss. Next time, maybe spend a bit more time on the narrative, which is the reason we are fans, and less time trying to cram multiplayer in. Just a thought.

Did it fix all of the problems with the original ending? No. It did not. But that's fine. It solved the majority of my problems with the ending, and if it had been out to begin with, I could half-dig it somewhat. It will not be perfect; so long as Walters is allowed to lead write, it never will be again. I suppose the thing that saddens me the most is the fact I will now look at the Lead Writer spot, look for Walters and if he is on it, avoid the product altogether because of it.

But yes, Bioware restored my faith in them somewhat -- they are still no longer on my day one purchase or pre-order list anymore, but they are at least back on my 'will purchase products from them again' list. And that's if nothing but a start.

I wouldn't say forgive as such but i'm happy. It finally makes sense although i dont like how vague the Destroy ending is.
