Don't forget to vote in the poll to create somewhat reliable statistics.

I don't know what there is to forgive.

I don't like the endings at all, although Extended Cut makes those imperfect endings somewhat more palatable. I really don't like the refusal option they included: it's poorly done. But none of that is something BioWare needs to atone for. Plenty of fictional works have bits in them the audience won't like. I'm glad BioWare tried to do something about it, although I don't think they could salvage the endings initially presented.

I still like BioWare games and will buy future releases from them. Games from these particular leads - well, probably not. That's not intended as a personal attack, so much as a recognition that what they want and find satisfying from a narrative and what I want from one are quite different. Good luck to them.

Still plot hole ridden. There is now actual exposition about the catalyst, but its still...you know an 11th hour deus ex machina but its shinier now I guess. The Normandy crash still inexplicably happens even though everyone took FTL jumps at the same time. The epilogue scenes don't actually do anything but confirm what they said on twitter or whatever that everything eventually gets rebuilt.

The catalyst said the beam would screw up technology but it could be repaired so I guess the shockwave blew a thruster or damaged the drive. At least they weren't stuck there long.

Not to me. It still feels like a poorly written ending, with contrived explanations tacked on after the fact because of the fan outcry. Sadly, I feel that the EC is receiving so much acceptance and even praise simply because what we got to start with was so poor.

But I'm not holding the line anymore. Its not worth it. And that's what Bioware did. They created something worse than hatred. Hatred or anger would still imply passion about the franchise. Instead, I only feel apathetic about it. I'm done. I have a story I'm writing that I want to finish for my own peace of mind, then I'm leaving the fanbase.

i'm editing my past after watching a new ending.
The Destroy ending is very close to what I wished for. So I'll forgive Bioware. I just wished they did this before.

I was pleased with the "new" endings. If this was done before release, it wouldn't become such an issue. There will always be those who never gets satisfied, but I want to send my thanks to Bioware (or EA for allowing Bioware?) for listening to their customers.

I agree with this. Also if the tech is all fixable does that mean EDI and the Geth can be rebooted? Also since EDI is essentially part of the Normandy and the destroy ending means she "dies" why doesnt the ship completely crash and fail? Its a nice tidy up but really its just a clarification on the same crap. If they do anything similar with the next DA then I'll take my money and leave bioware to rot.

How you feel about overall situation after the EC?

Hated original, hated EC. Already left or planning to leave Bioware
12%(75 votes)

EC was slightly better than original, but not enough to salvage the series and Bioware's reputation. Unlikely to buy other Bioware games.
43%(281 votes)

EC has satisfied me (acceptable conclusion to the series), but I will remain very cautious about Bioware games.
29%(187 votes)

Hated the original, but EC made me really happy. Everything is good now! I love you, Bioware!
11%(74 votes)

Liked the original, EC only made it better

to salvage the other poll going on, since the thread was locked.

http://social.biowar...41/polls/35729/

i find it amusing that merizan twitted most are pleased when numbers evidently show otherwise. a sample is a sample is a sample.

so no. the EC was disappointing. we'd already had auto dialog in the game. now a slideshow as dlc?

Nope not really because this is what the ORIGINAL ENDINGS... should have been. Instead they rushed the game and when called out on it they acted like a bunch of children. Are they endings better explained? Yes. Are the better endings for the series? No. The fact that people had to go through this just to complete game shows what Hudson and Walters thought about series and the fan base. They just wanted the series over and done with and did not care about what they put out.

It is certainly a much more satisfying conclusion to the series than what we were originally given. That said, there were a few areas I thought could have been improved/done differently such as the 'Refuse' Ending. I like that they gave us the option to say 'No.' to the Catalyst and its choices but I feel it would have been much more rewarding that if your EMS factored into what happened after. For instance, if your EMS is too low, you get the default 'Refuse' ending. However, if your EMS is extremely high, then the galaxy has a shot at defeating the Reapers conventionally.

No, will never buy another product Hudson or Walters work on, unlikely to purchase from BW again.
This is based on what I saw on Youtube, I wouldn't taint my Xbox with more of their crap.
