Forgive? Yes.
Forget? Never.
Is EC satisfying enough to forgive?

Defo yes since ive seen all the EC stuff now.
My will to play through some of my unfinished NG+ sheps is restored now, you can tell that explains alot about my thoughts on EC.

I can't really say I have anything to forgive. The original ending was short, the scenes ended too abruptly and in general just wasn't substantial enough for the conclusion to a such a trilogy of games. That doesn't mean the ending was bad, just not very memorable.
The extended ending changed that. All I wanted was more of what we already had and the extended cut provided that in spades.
I'm going to say it: the ending was magnificent. I loved it to pieces. If my love was the Crucible and the game was the Citadel and the extended cut was Shepard staring death in the face and leaping off of the... well, you get the idea.

No. They barely touched on any of the numerous plotholes that plagued the original ending and everything they did address didn't make any more sense the second time around. I'd go into every detail, but I'm too tired and I feel like it'd be a waste of my time as it would likely fall on deaf ears.

Well it's kind of like being cheated on. You really love the person but there comes a point where you say "enough is enough." Perhaps a couple of years into the future, you meet again and find out you still have lingering feelings for each other. But right now, you really don't want anything to do with that person.

I wish the breath scene was repalaced by shep standing in the rubble. (Like the end of ME1)
At least that way your shep survived and you can assume he reunites with his L.I.
I dont like the EC but the fact bioware tried show's they do care. Thats enough for me.

It's satisfying and acceptable, but not impressive.
I won't outright boycott Bioware titles, but I certainly have no intention of ever pre-ordering a Bioware title again.
I'm also not going to trust reviews from the gaming media since I'm convinced now that they release their reviews without finishing the games.

Its still one of the worst, most stupidly written endings I've ever seen, and definitely the lowest point in the series, but it's no longer in my top 5 worst endings ever, and I now actually feel I can play Mass Effect again.
They still lied trough their teeth, and generally talked down to and insulted us so much I think forgiveness is too far right now. They've earned a second chance as a company, but I'll still not be preordering their games from now on, and I'll never touch anything Mac Walters is the lead writer of.
Still, they did change the ending so it didn't end the ME universe in a galactic wasteland, 10,000 year dark age, and even completely undid the stupid ham fisted garden of Eden symbolism that was the Normandy crash. They could have done alot more, but they did more than I needed to be ok, and vastly more than I expected.
Hell, I'm actually going to buy From Ashes tonight to go with the EC, so I'd say Bioware and I are cool now.

From what I have seen of just the endings on Youtube, I think I would say for me it is. Most of my major issues with the original endings have been addressed.
Are the endings perfect based on what I have seen on Youtube, probably not, but then again I can only think of a handful of games that have concluded perfectly (Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Skies of Arcadia Legends and a few others).

Forgive them?
Not a chance.
Forgiving BioWare for the original endings would be like forgiving your friend because he bought you a shoe shine after pissing on your shoes.
Yes, the damage to the shoes has been mitigated but he still pissed on your shoes, why would you forgive that?
No, I'm not forgiving them. The endings are better than they were, the game as a whole is still terribly lacking compared to the first and second games.

Just saw the Rejection option and its ending movie. Very pleased this was included and wow, it is worth it, just for that.
Doesn't that prove Bioware listened? Perhaps now they can focus on bringing in more content and exploring open 'plot holes' through DLC. Hell if it takes DLC to clarify points and add depth like the EC did, it means Bioware has not forgotten the fans.
Nice to say I was in the negative feelings camp, but so far, I'm pleased.
'Less youtube lied to me and that was a fan video, then I will cry.

Hated that there was no reunion but I can live with that we had, Kaidan didn't put my name up, he knows I'm alive and he'll come and get me... 'headcanon'
Maybe Bioware will make that as paid DLC lol
Also yeah it was free and all but it did look pretty **** lol Like animations were rushed, the new scenes stick out like a sore thumb purely because they're not as polished as the game is.

I was ignorant to the first endings before coming to the forums, then the plot holes and realization hit me after reading through some threads.
Now i've seen the extended cut yeah I forgive them...a bit
However I don't forgive the BSN for not leaving me in blissful ignorance

Let me ask then.
At the original end you see the normandy getting caught in a shockwave and crash lands. This one it looks smooth as silk. If the first one was true then many many ships would have been dead and floating in space not conveniently landed on a planet. The EC they literally CHANGED their ending which they said they wouldn't do. They do it to try to satisfy one plot hole to keep that crap they wrote to begin with.
If they can change that, they could have retconned the kid and done this properly.
If I had Gates type cash I would purchase them for fun, fire quite a few and remake the whole dman thing just because I could. Sadly I don't...I need a new TV as well Gates is a lucky SOB.... but I digress.
Lipstick on a pig.

I'm one of those apparent idiots who didn't hate the original ending, so this just made it better in my opinion. And YES, before you ask, I KNOW there were and still are potholes and things that are unexplained. But you know, I still like it.
EC explained enough things for me to appreciate the ending even more than I did before, so I'd definitely feel this is forgiving!
Nice job Bioware! :-D

From what I've heard (don't have a chance to download it yet, just a quick break from work) it's polishing a turd and disappointing but enough not to completely screw things up (although dead geth and EDI in Destroy is a major negative point to it considering how arbitrary and unnecessary it was in the first place). Lack of a reunion and more than just the breath scene is a huge blow but the fact that it seems possible is good, even if it's pathetic that it's not shown.
Might raise the ending from 0/10 to 3/10 and the overall game from 4/10 to 7/10 for me although I'll have to judge more closely once I've actually seen it.
