I've been very surprised not to find an equivalent to NWNVault for Dragon age.
The Vault is a very well designed site that benefits from almost 10 years of experience.
Does anybody knows why there is no such Vault ?
Dragon age vault ?

Well, there are a few sites like dragonagenexus.com and damods.com, but nothing that is as good or easy to use as nwnvault.
BioWare's idea was that the 'Project' section here on the social site should fill the need, however, due to various design problems it is not really usable as such. It is being improved, though, so I would not give up on this site quite yet.
People have listed the main problems over and over so BioWare should be well awre of them - I just hope they will be fixed.

Well, I've used both mods from the projects page - and from dragonagenexus. No, they're not up to nwnvault status yet, but it's early days. Give them some time. I've always loved both the nwnvault and theelderscrollsnexus and fallout3nexus - so I'm sure we'll have some great resources in time. Those already available are not to be sniffed at, either.

Although Dragon Age Nexus is a good board, there is no way it can match the quality and usefulness of the vault. One exemple : there is no way to distinguish items based on original models from items based on new 3d models. They are all put under the name the item refers to (for instance weapon section) You have to browse into the section and read each of them in order to get the info.
An other big problem, you can't distinguish mods that are an addition to the main campaign from ones that are standalones. And you can't sort the latter by time playing. ect
Does anyone has a clue about why there is no project of bringing a DAVault ? has it to do with the absence of multiplayer option ?

For the record, the Neverwinter Vault is a terrible piece of software even if the concept is good. This site is partways supposed to fill that void but the current state makes it less than ideal for it.

FYI, there are different categories for standalone modules vs OC addons.

I found navigating NWN vault difficult. There were like 3 different sections one could find new models. Finding updated mods was a pain, the search included everything from the original NWN as well as NWN2... bleh.
DANexus is much better. Even this site is better, but only marginally. Not having categories or even page numbers is rediculous.

Wrong. Neither in Nexus nor in Damods this distinction exists. Damods is even worse since they don't even have a campaign/Quest/Adventure section. At the date of today, the Nexus offers a "Quest and Adventure" section where standalones and OC addons are mixed altogether. Maybe things will change when decent standalone mods gonna pop up in the community. But I'm a bit worried about the way these boards are designed. They are clearly set up on the exemple of the Bethesda games boards. These games only marginaly benefited from standalone mods and most of the stuff produced by the community was under the form of items or quests inserted in the OC. The release of the DA toolset offers a much greater potential and a proper board focused on standalone peaces of work would be really useful.
DLC type of stuff IS DIFFERENT FROM standalone mods !!!

DA Nexus is dreadful. I can't even log in to the damned thing. NW Vault had the advantage of being very accessible - which I suspect is what made NWN such a popular game. Methinks Bioware have really screwed up this time.

I don't know about this. I concur that Nexus' (all of them) interface is little if any better, and the login semi-requirement a major annoyance, but the Vault's search function and categorization is useless in practice. The Vault and Nexus both pretty much failed at what they're trying to do, and I suspect they are only successful for lack of (better) alternatives.Forensicman101 wrote...
