Shepard makes a lot of bad calls.

I don't disagree with you. But it doesn't really bother me. Things like that have always been a staple of the hero's story.

So.. about how Harbinger didn't shoot the Normandy when they were sitting there IN HIS FACE.. So the Harbinger of our destruction is both blind and stupid?

I'll help you fire up your brain power. It is essential for Harbinger to kill the humans racing towards the beam. There is a whole squad including Shepard. He can either take Shepard our (or try to), or shoot the sip that is actually evacuating people from the hot zone. If he prevented travel to the beam in the first place, the Normandy was good as dead anyway.

Why was it only evacuating people?  what was the normandy doing that was so unimportant that it could disengage from the battle to save the galaxy to evac 2 people?

Shepard ordered them to. This shouldn't even have to be explained. Go watch and see it for yourself.

you're giving superficial answers, that don't actually answer the questions raised.

So why did shepard jeopardise the normandy for 2 crew members? Why did shepard not order all non-essential personnel off the normandy once it was clear Harbinger didn't give a ****. Why did Harbinger not think the normandy was bringing in reinforcements the moment it came into firing range?

Vikali wrote...
Yet in the end, that super laser failed to keep two individuals from crossing the beam. It's not as fool proof as we'd like to think.

Ohhh :) thanks for pointing out another issue. Why would harbinger leave the conduit undefended even though it's the single most important military asset they must control?

He left after he though everyone was dead. And now you're asking an age old question in a different situation. "Why do bad guys monologue?" Maybe Harby was just cocky.

It may be a common bad guy cliche but it's still stupid.

This. I was right with my interpretation of the endings and the Reapers meaning. The Reapers are designed as a superior life being of the 'organic' life that is reaped in every cycle and the crucible is the way to 'chage' the program designed by a very old lifeform. It is IMPOSSIBLE to defeat all the reapers using brute force.

After use it the universe is not 'doomed', space travel can be fixed,  and also it is possible to stay alive an return with your squadmates.

My only complaints were some ploholes with the Normandy crew that now are more or less addressed. And some extra stuff to see the 'races' fate is added.

So I'm happy with the EC. And we have it for free.

But you can complaint if you don't like it, of course. But, please, don't be drama queens. It's only an artistic direction that you don't like, that's all. Get over it.

So, attack little random people instead of the obvious main threat? Man, the Reapers are stupid.

How was the Normandy a threat? It was evacuating the incapacitated. Shepard was the threat.

Shepard has a pea shooter and the Normandy has a Thanix Cannon (Why did it never get used in this game btw?)

Plus we saw Harbinger had multiple lasers and was able to fire them very fast compared to other Reapers, Surely he would have fired at the Normandy to keep it at bay and prevent it picking up survivors

Yet in the end, that super laser failed to keep two individuals from crossing the beam. It's not as fool proof as we'd like to think.

Normandy Stealth Drive?

Humans give off heat, tanks give off heat, with the stealth drive engaged the normandy doesnt give off heat. Harbinger would not of seen the normandy.

What other reapers? No other reapers take a shot at the normandy. And because the stealth drive was not active then because they needed the extra power for kenetic barriers and to manuver.

You just want perfection. You're not going to get it. No game is perfect. Just accept that and enjoy it for what is is. Stop reading so deeply into everything, you come off as a whiny nerd.

You know,Soveriegn. The Reapers that chase you in the scanning minigames. And what? The Oculi can see through the stealth drive. In the ME Wiki, this is what it says "True to their name, Oculi can see through both the Normandy SR-2's stealth systems and an Infiltrator'sTactical Cloak."

I don't recall when Sogereign attacked the Normandy when stealth systems are active. Refresh my memory. It's been a long while since ME1 for me. And I don't think the stalth systems are sustained 100% of the time. It would chew through way too many resources. It's always been a situational tool.

As far as Oculi, it sounds like they were designed for that purpose. That doesn't mean Reapers possess the same capabilities.

But if our Almighty Space Gods have tech that can see through those, why not put onto themselves? It's not like they lack the resources.

They only chase you if you use your scanner, which gives away your position to everything reaper in the system. Was they using the scanner at the time of pick up? I seriously doubt it... unless they were looking to prove the team up.

I could be wrong about Sovereign, but the Collector Cruiser definately could see through Stealth drives. And what of the scanning minigame ones?

Okay, so why *does* your team abandon you at the end? How does the Normandy end up on the battlefield? Why does Harbinger not blast it to smithereens? Why does Harbinger just leave? Why does Joker follow an order that'd make him abandon Shepard? Why does Garrus, of all people, encourage him to leave? How does shooting a tube destroy the Reapers? How did Shepard know that that's the way to activate that particular function? Who'd construct it in such a fashion?

Seems to me they did exactly what I feared: instead of ditching all the terrible stuff, they tried to stitch it together - and inevitably failed.

BECAUSE THE CRUCIBLE WAS ABOUT TO FIRE AND...  Well, stuff.

I did enjoy the poetic slap in the face from Bioware regarding the Refusal ending.  "Well, way to go.  You don't want our endings?  Fine!  NOW everyone dies!  NOW you lose!  I hope you're happy with all your misery because it certainly didn't stem from how poorly we handled the script!"

It's really a good idea to show contempt for your audience.  Now Bioware's done it twice over only this one's a lot more direct.

Collector Cruiser wasn't a Reaper in either parts of the game where it appears. When you scan, as stated by the previous poster, you relay your location through those pulses to the Reapers. Engaging stealth after a reaper has already seen you may be futile as it won't just make them forget about you or your possible travel patterns?

I guess. Haha.

Sometimes it's hard to seperate gameplay from story, or to put them together. Sanning was boring before, so they tried to spice it up. So all we can do is speculate. Haha.
