Thank you for telling me how I should feel, I was a little confused and lost there, but all is well now. Thanks.

The original ending was unfixable, sorry.
People are happy because they removed the line that says the crucible will destroy the relays. Then we see that the relays are only marginally damaged instead of supernova explosions as they were supposed to according to their own foreshadowing. This isnt further clarification, this is cleaning up their mess. The mess that was the original ending.
I was hopeful. I am glad they at least made an effort. But it's still a crap ending for the best story I ever played. So overall, I am disapointed and you know what? Story telling has this little problem. No matter how good your story is, if you drop the ball in last few pages, that's what will stay in peoples mind. How awful your ending was.

Also chalking in to say that I was good with the Destroy ending -- and I hated the original. It was a hell of a lot more poignant than the hurried version we originally had. The relays aren't irrepairable, and loved how Garrus started to put my Shep's name on the wall, and then just got this, "nah!" look and held on to it. Definitely holds potential for a reunion in my headcanon, if nothing else.
And it's a little harsh to say that the "reject everything/Earth is boned" ending was just Bioware's way of telling us to F-off. Lots of people -- myself included -- wanted to see an ending where Earth doesn't make it and we get to see the next cycle listening to Liara's warning. I thought it was great to see it happen, and that it was one of the better endings (we didn't get them, but the next cycle will. Shepard gave them a chance.)
May seem a bit harsh but accurate imho
