Seems like they starting to fix the problem, its up here on Spain just now, dowloading atm, i had the same probs as everyone here, not showing EC on add-on etc.

Did it just appear on the Add-on window or did you have to restart Origin?

Sorry for the late reply, went afk while download... Nope i re-started origin after not been able to open add-on windows for like 10 mins

I'ts a type of ISP connection (to put it simple). You either connect directly or this way. Many special words and blah-blah, but I'm first time hating my brilliant ethernet ISP with direct dynamic IP...
