I enjoyed it. My problem with the endings was that they were too vague; with EC's added clarity I'm happy to say that will be replaying the Mass Effect series for a long time. :)

Hate it with a vengeance.

It fixed very little of the ending for me
and the funny thing was that I could have forgiven the rest if they had a reunion scene of some kind. Even if they just met after the battle with a hug.

It would have been that easy to please me, but nope.

Hate it with a passion. All it did was open up more plot holes.

Finally got to play it at lunch. Now THAT was a much better ending for Mass Effect, and having a htank you message at the end instead of the buy more DLC was a great touch.

So a happy ending, basically?

War usually doesn't work that way.

I like it for what it did, but I hate it for not doing what mattered most: Making the endings at least try to fit the established theme of the Mass Effect universe, making Shepard act like Shepard, not invalidating the entire Quarian/Geth story arc.

There is absolutley no justice in it. They barley expanded anything.
I', also extremly sad that there was no LI reunion, not that, but they also posted a scene where you LI is mouring you while putting your name on the KIA list.
But there still might be a reunion, because at the of the ending, you can see the Normandy getting off the planet it crashed on. But who knows if Shepard will still be alive when it arrives on Earth? (If it will, don't forget- the relays are destroyed).

overall i thought it was great... there were a few things i didnt like though... for example, i didnt like how u dont see how everyone dies if u pick the reject option. id like to think that shepard went down with his/her omni-blade surrounded by reaper troops slashing away at all of them...

Its ok. Control is much easier to swallow this time around but my main problem was that the universe was destroyed. That is, no relays, no hope for future adventure. The world of Mass Effect died with Shep. Now, while i still wish Shep didnt have to die in Control, i can accept the endings.

The themes behind them is still awful, but i can accept them.

Only fixed some of their rushed work. Anderson still doesn't have a gut shot while Shepard does, Harbinger runs away, Catalyst still wrong, etc. Made a lot of stuff clearer though, and the destroy ending all the better. But how hard would if have been to have the refuse (aka shot the brat) ending be the outcome of Indoctrination theory.

We're in the same boat :crying:

It would have been so simple to add a quick scene. I wouldn't even need diaoluge!

They are certainly better than before, but that's not saying much. At least now they are slightly above tolerable.

Has it completely satisfied me?

No.

Has it relieved my pain a little?

Definitely.

I enjoyed it! It cleared up most of my questions, and now I can finally play the Mass Effect Series again without regretting it.

The DLC made me very satisfied with the ending. The synthesis ending made no sense before, so I chose destroy. Now that synthesis was explained so well, I chose it. I'm glad I made that choice.

Haha did I say that? NO.

Don't straw man me or put words in my mouth. I said a reunion, not a happy ending.

I feel it was really well done. Synthesis and Control were fleshed out very well (though I would never chose either, so I'm not the best judge of this). I like that you were given the choice to reject it (since everyone wanted that), and given that the whole game is basically you trying to get the crucible together and use it, I was okay with the outcome. I even loved that though we couldn't win conventionally, we allowed the next cycle to succeed.

I thought destroy was almost perfect. One the one hand, I would have loved just a quick scene showing that Shep reunited with his LI. On the other, not only did they not ruin my headcannon, they made it much easier to the point of basically implying that there will be a reunion. Otherwise, this ending too was well fleshed out.

I was fine with the stuff they retconned (the relays exploding). Honestly, this saves the game and the series for me. Is it how I would have ended it 5 months ago? No, but it is a good, and varied enough, ending for me to enjoy playing.
