Thank you, BioWare
. And please, don't give up on RPG hybrids - I know this was tough time for you all and it's probably discouraging to even think about creating again such feat as Mass Effect was, especially because of the backlash you got, but please, don't give up. There can be always games like CoD and there will be, but someone has to keep making games like Mass Effect was or Dragon Age. I'm one of those who will keep supporting you and hoping that you will prevail in these times when game development is truly expensive and there's the entire ocean of other games developing sharks. Thank you once again and I wish you the best

I must say, I was a lot more impressed than I thought I would be. I had fairly low expectations, and while it wasn't perfect, it's made me a lot happier about the Mass Effect universe and it's ending as a whole.
Thank you, Bioware! Where once my faith may have diminished, I look forward to your future projects once more.

In my first run I chose Synergy, but I switched to Destroy for the Extended Cut.
I am very satisfied with how this was handled.
Thank you.

I wish I had the good sense not to play the game when it first came out and waited until this was released. At least now though, when I decide to play this fantastic trilogy again, I know I won't finish its final installment and leave frustrated.

Thank you Bioware. The EC has been amazing. The new scenes were impressively done (I must admit to being a bit giddy when I saw that Reaper squeeze the life out of a dreadnought). Control was almost my ending, but now it's become completely amazing. Very science-fictiony, very appropriate. Looking forward to trying the other endings tomorrow.
Thank you again. You all went above and beyond for us.

I was very dubious about the ec cause I felt pretty shattered by the original endings but I do feel pretty good about it now. For me I think it has redeemed the game as something I'll be happy to replay now.
My only question is why the hell wasn't it like that in the first place? I"m glad that coherent criticism and feedback was listened to. Good show, eventually.

Thanks you Bioware. Mass Effect 3 almost made me cry during several scenes.
But seeing the insanely powerfull scene involving your LI (If you played it you know which one i mean.) i actually cried. And kept crying for 5 minutes. I'm a grown man and not embarassed to admit that.
First piece of media ever to do this to me. Well done.

Thank you Bioware for finally showing at least some reason by listening to your fans.
People who really enjoy the EC shouldn't forget that we would never have gotten it if a certain "vocal minority" had not expressed their dissatisfaction with the original ending.
While it still has most of the logical flaws of the original ending I guess many people would never have complained if Bioware hadn't been lazy but had this elaborated ending in the shipped version. It isn't clever to encourage people to think about something if it's hardly understandable...
It's somehow sad to see this whole drama could have been avoided with the work of one or two months?

I'll chime in. Thank you!
I liked the changes, the dialogue during the talk with the Catalyst, and especially that last scene with Liara, during the run to the beam. That was exactly what I needed, to put some perspective on the ending. It's not perfect, but nothing ever is.
Edit: It is sad, though, that we had to drag BioWare through the mud to get these changes. It really should have been included from the start.
Good game.

Likewise... my expectations could not have been any lower. But you guys really did do a great job. Thanks for fixing this. I just wish that this is what we got in the first place.
Seriously, great job Bioware.

Also a big thank you & great job from me!
When I completed the game a couple of months back, I didn´t think that it was one of the worst endings ever. But, it definitely was shallow. And when you annonced the EC, I promptly began playing the trilogy from scratch with a new Femshep with Liara as my soulmate. And keeping my fingers crossed for the new EC.
And it delivered !!!
This new EC is really satisfying in a bitter sweet way. I can´t remember what other game made me misty eyed like the synthesist ending with Liara & Femsheps nameplate. And I am a 31 year old man!
Im looking forward to more Mass Effect games in the future...
Maybe a new story where the main character is Femsheps & Liara child, who is a 19 year old rebellious teenager with red markings on her head tentacles (voiced by Jennifer Hale), on her way to be a Asari commando.
You can have that idea for free Bioware.

Old endings: The more I thought about them, the more I was pissed off
New endings: The more I think about them, the more I love them.

I did not like the old endings. Mainly because it was unfinished, harsh quick work to meet the deadline, as if another company did it actually. And I really hated it, because half in the game I thought it's the best game ever .. and after the endings I only could say 'meh'.
Also I did not expect anything from extended cut. I was that let down.
But oh man .. I'm sold ! Yeah .. just a few pictures .. few sentences .. few scenes .. and I think it was worth it. Not sure if it moves ME3 back to 'best game ever' .. but it for sure got close .. thanks for that !

I disliked the endings originally but the Extended Cut definitely changed that. I love how much more fleshed out it is and I particularly love that you can just outright refuse. Wasn't expecting that.

Adding here too.
I was more or less depressed with the old endings. But now with the EC. I can finally remember the Mass Effect trilogy as a wonderfull story, and now I actually feel closure to it.
A small part of me hoped for a reunion with my LI. But I'm happy how it all turned out!
So with all my heart and tears. Thank You Bioware <3

I really liked what they did, if this would have been with the release I would have given it an 10/10.
(I did that Control and synt ending, saving the Destroy ending for another playthrough)
And I would also like to apologise for the hate I may have thrown out there, and thank you for this amazing experience.

THANK YOU Bioware.. You not only managed to "salvage" the ending, you actually made it epic.
As this is a no spoiler section I can't write the good stuff here, but the things you put in the extended cut added SO SO MUCH. I put it in caps lock to signify it even more, because it really needs to be said.
It feels like a completely different experience now, and all you did was clarify and show more of what actually happened, don't leave stuff up to our imagination again! We all know what you can do, and that is why people love your games. Yes it took more work, but is it not worth it when it really pleases the fans? I don't think people would mind waiting a bit more to be completely satisfied.
Mass Effect is one of the most epic game series of all time in my opinion, it filled me with emotions as I played through the trilogy, and after finishing each game I could not wait till the next one arrived, and that is the case again now because of the extended cut.
Again because it's a no spoiler section I can't write about the things that happened in the ending, but what I can say is that this time it left me with a smile on my face, right through all the cinematic's even to the little note you left to the fans when becoming a "legend" .
I look forward to seeing more Mass Effect games with more epic stories to be told.
Thanks once again :-)

Thank you BioWare. I just loved Mass Effect ever since from the Start. I hope this series continues with Prequels and Sequels, more DLC and Content. I hope for future Games. Mass Effect is the most amazing and one of the greatest series out there. It one of my favorites, best. Thank you for making a great wonderful games. I hope Mass Effect continues.
I prefer Sequels than Prequels when you do. thank you.

What are the right words? How can I express my gratitude?
I just finished the game with the EC and chose the Synth ending, because that was the ending I chose the first time I played. And I wish the game was shipped with this ending.
Bioware, you have not only regained my respect, you saved the whole series for me and you did not only make an ending that I thought to be really, really bad become a very good ending, and bittersweet, as you said the ending would be. I know I have been harsh at times, but it was always just to make you see how much I love ME and that I really wished for an ending that it deserved.
And it seems that some wishes comes true
I can't wait to start replaying this countless times now
With this DLC, you made ME3 go from being my vote for disappointment of the year, to game of the year.
