So now, in the middle of our desperate "all or nothing" charge, Shepard has time to worry about the well-being of his crew enough to stop, take cover and radio the Normandy in for evac.
Somehow, the Normandy is RIGHT there and is able to take your two squadmates to safety, with Harbinger obliterating everything in sight.
Also, why in pluperfect hell are the rest of your team hanging out on the Normandy in the middle of humanity's darkest hour instead of helping you rush the beam?
I haven't seen any of the ending yet other than the "reject StarChild" one, so I can't comment on them as of yet. I did like some of the additions to the StarChild dialogue though, but the beam-run has been rendered illogical and absurd.
Wow BioWare, nice job ruining the beam-run scene (spoilers)...

LETS MAKE A PICKUP RIGHT IN FRONT OF A REAPER

Yeah... they ****ed up with that one. How the hell didn't that seem like a problem? They could have had a sequence that still got your crew back to the Normandy without putting in some weird **** like that, like having them still be too injured to get up and setting it so that Anderson calls for the pickup instead, before following Shepard through. Would have made way more sense...

The Normandy also gets there reeeeeally quick for having to come from space.

Yea there really wasn't much else they could do to cover up the "beam me up, Shepard!" plot hole. I don't mind it too much, though it definitely would have been better if this scene was different in the first place.
Also I agree it's lame your squad is hanging on the Normandy playing poker while the fate of the galaxy is being decided. I am shocked and stunned there were no suicide mission-like missions in ME3. I thought there would at least be one for the final mission! I truly though there was no way Bioware would just have our squad that wasn't picked sit out entirely. At least I'd hoped there would be a reference to non picked squad mates helping to hold the line or something. NOPE : Shepard didn't pick us! Let's go play strip poker in the lounge while Shepard charges head first into reapers yayuh!

Yeah, but you guys asked for it, Even I did, but that is NOT how I imagined it. I did not expect the action to stop with dialogue options. I was thinking a short scene before the beam run where Shepard holds out an arm and says, "I got this. You guys get to Normandy" and starts running. That's it. Maybe a short scene where the LI gasps "Shepard!" but nothing more needed.
Still not too bad, though. Small price to pay for giving people their closure while also getting rid of the trolls.
Right now the beam-run has a very Casablanca-esque quality to it. "That's why you have to get on that plane! Someday you'll regret staying! Maybe not now but soon and again and for the rest of your life! We'll always have Paris."
Heh, I don't know what the paragon dialogue option does, though. I said, "you'd just get in my way" which was the honest truth and left. They shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Well how do you want to explain something that doesn't make any sense? Correct. With more nonsense.

Aw, Harby just wanted to give us some time alone with our LI and squad. He's a gentleman that way. Besides, he spent so long shouting at Shepard in the last game that he probably felt like a part of the merry gang of misfits.
But seriously, it's kind of silly but its better than the magically teleporting squad, so yeah.

Yes, i found this problematic, if they could pick the NPC's up that means they could also drop a few dozen people to help Shepard out so this does not make sense to me.

I agree that was weird that he called for an evac mid run, but it was LI so I can maybe understand it. However, I didn't have a problem with the Normandy being so close, because it had obviously been in the area to target the reaper you just took down for you.

So the Normandy manage to land in the middle of a firefight involving giant laser beams. Wow, all those sacrifices in the beam dash are deemed pointless. Great job BW. Another plot hole.
And if its heat shielding manage to keep the Reapers from learning its presence, why not utilize this advantage?
Told cha. Can't sugar coat BS.

You have to consider two things:
1) it's what we asked for. Maybe the scene was a little long but we asked for something like that
2) Considering everybody has already seen the original scene, you do not have the adrenaline rush of the first time.

That's how Bioware fixes things. They change one of the best moments in the game and make it worst and absurd.

They should have did the pickup scene afterwards when shepard made it up the beam it cuts to the squadmates injured but alive and they radio for help or something like that not just do it during the charge

Yeah, this particular change really jarred the pace of the scene. I thought Shepard would've just kept running while the two squadmates fell back from avoiding death, maybe get a shuttle ride up to Normandy.

That really silly they sent the Normandy to pick up your squad..Why not a shuttle?

If normandy was so fast to be able to do that why not just drop shepard off there in the first place instead of fighting all the way to the beam

Well. It is the most expensive advanced form of Tic Tac Toe I have paid good money for!
For my part a game gives the player a chance to win - I never felt like I won in ME3?!
Perhaps I'm like Mordin - Perfers to get the job done and go home!

No, the scene was better before EC.
Shepard should not have been involved in the pick up, someone else should have called Joker up so the original scene would not be spoiled.

Yeah, that one had me literally laughing out loud and shaking my head in disbelief. It was less dumb when they magically teleported from the death. Some other changes are major improvements though.

/shrug. Better then them magically beaming up to the ship. Sort of bare bones but I wouldn't say it ruined it. I didn't hear it yet but I read you get to say good bye to your LI if they're there. I'm a sucker for that I can't help it.
