No, you're just getting trolled by Casey and Mac. Think nothing of it. Oh, and don't feed the trolls. With money.

If you're one of the people who feels like Shepard wouldn't have spent her six months on earth twiddling her thumbs, then it's possible that billions upon billions of people from our cycle are hidden away somewhere in Ilos-like installations she organized the creation of while "under arrest" on earth, just waiting for a new sentient to find Liara's beacon, so we can unfreeze ourselves and show up at their doorstop with instructions for building Cains and Thanix cannons.

How do you do that? What was the point in making an EC if you were not going to actually do anything and point by point do the things the people specifically said they did not want to see? I mean tons of people specifically said they don't want to see certain things, yet that exact stuff is put in the EC.
People specifically said they did not want certain things, and each thing people said they did not want to see was put in the EC. How is that possible? I mean you have to be trying to be making your game bad at the point. Thats the only things I can think of that would explain this.

I've got a flash program on my computer: think I should send it to them? It can make more than slideshows in less memory space.

The entire point of Mass Effect was to be a depressing tragedy, so no, not being punished.

I don't get it. How do you spend all this money on a EC and pay the actors and make this extra animation for.... not doing any of the things that were asked for? I just don't get it. I don't get it all.

Just listen to the podcast with Casey and Mac on the EC. It's obvious they simply refuse to acknowledge that the ending is a nearly unsalvagable train wreck. Instead only talking about closure, which I feel we still did not get. The epilogue is just a huge f... up, it should've been in the game from day 1, everyone can agree on that. Other than that... what did the EC actually solve that has something to do with closure? Implied shepard survival with destroy ending? We had that already. Normandy being able to get off gilligan's planet again? If so what the hell was the point (aside from cheap drama) of them crashing in the first place.
I don't get BioWare. It feels they get more and more out of touch with their fanbase the more they do...

I thought the same thing! lol!
But the other endings are alot better now and not just "pick a color", too bad I still want Shepard to be Shepard... bye bye galaxy.
The ground crew getting back onto the Normandy, Joker flying off with the Normandy and later crashing were all explained in the EC as well and that was greatly appreciated. Well sans "refusal" ending of course on some of that.

Once the writers decided there was going to be the cure-all that is the Crucible, "conventional means" were written off as impossible, no "ifs ands or buts." It would've been far too much work to write an alternate story-line having nothing to do with the Catalyst. Of course, I would've loved that option and a lot more validity thrown into it...let's see, pursue the strange alien device or unite and fortify the galaxy?
WHY!?!?! Why wasn't that done!?
The entire sodding trilogy was about uniting the galaxy! Why was there never a point where you actually could stand united and fight!?

Then you can ignore all those factors that clearly say "without the Crucible, we are screwed". Reject the Crucible options and then get screwed. And then you can sit there and wonder "is Bioware punishing me?".
It's like a guy purposely running into a wall and wonder why it hurts. You're that guy.

This
I thoroughly hated the first ending and thoroughly enjoyed the EC. I am very happy with the ending now.

A bit of hyperbole, but yes, Mass Effect was meant to be a dark trilogy with imperfect choices. It doesn't end on a happy or satisfying note for many, however.
