Do not want artificially happy ending BS tacked on to an already patchwork ending. Geez, some people need to learn to let go. Life's full of unhappy endings, in fact, there's a really unhappy one waiting at the very end for all of us. Buck up, little campers.

Either way though at least the ending isnt a total abyss now that just sucks the life out of the whole experience.

A paid Reunion DLC would be a nice boon for those who are interested while being regarded as optional.
I think it is fair for Bioware to end the canon story with Shepard's sacrifice. But there is no reason why they could not produce a DLC where Shepard Meets with his/her LI. The DLC could be regarded as outside the main story and wouldn't impact on the conclusion as it is assumed that one way or another, Shepard moves on from his/her previous career.
The only real question is if there is really much demand for such a paid DLC. if there is, then Bioware would be foolish not to consider it. Who knows, perhaps they are waiting to see how popular threads like this are.
The other question is how to apply it to each ending.
Destroy is easy. You can have Shepard survive even if this isn't shown in the EC. They just need to have Shepard explain how he or she survives, etc. In fact the destroy ending is the one area where you could have Shep and LI skipping off into the sinset. I am sure LI fans would probably be willing to accept this.
In Control, perhaps a hologram of Shepard could say a final goodbye to his or her LI before disappearing forever.
Not sure how synthesis would work.
Of course, even if it is assumed Shepard dies, there is always the "grey box" option. in that the LI finds a grey box and gets to experience a moment with Shepard a la Kasumi.
In the end, I am not that bothered about such a DLC as my current Shepard's are the self sacrificing types. However, if a reunion DLC was available and it for good reviews, I would consider it.
Part of me would like to see my males Shepard reunited with Ashley or a male/female Shep with Liara, blue babies included.
In the end those who are not interested need to really complain. They don't need to buy it and it wouldn't change the official ending that Shepard is no more, one way or another.

While yes I could head cannon it, I really wanted to SEE (and hear) the reunion between my Shepard and Kaidan.

Synthesis defines "rainbows and butterflies, peace/love/dope ending
Control turns Shepard into a technogod
Destroy, Shepard gets to breathe.
Reject is a big FU to the fans
Do you not see the disparity here? Bioware sure doesn't. Shepard doesn't even warrant being on camera w/LI or the crew.dead

Well, there's escapism, and then there's just masturbation. Escapism is fine. Or is space magic and aliens not enough escapism? Does it really have to be a full-on relationship with a fictional character?

I watched the Reject ending. I liked it. Shepard stood her ground, and didn't give in to Catalyst. And like the Protheans before them, they gave the next cycle a fighting chance, and a better one than the Protheans gave them. I didn't get an "FU" vibe at all, but then, I wasn't looking for one.
Synthesis is absurd and completely sidesteps the implications of radically modifying the genetic structure of all living things everywhere, and also sidesteps the logistics of it. It's the Disney ending, and it's abominable. But it was that before the EC.
Control is exactly what the Illusive Man wanted. Duh.
Destroy is what Shepard has ostensibly been fighting for all along. Saving the galaxy. Self-determination. Yes, it comes at a great cost, but it's our victory on our terms. It always was the best choice, and still is. Humanity survives into the future, a future without the threat of the Reapers. That's all Shepard ever wanted.
But "Reunion" DLC? It just smacks of the worst kind of fanservice. "Forget the story, I just want

I don't see how wanting a reunion between the LI and Shepard means we are having a full-on relationship with a fictional character.
