Yes there are still a few plot holes and the starkid is still a Deus Ex Machina but for me none of that was what mattered most. What mattered was the emotional payoff of seeing how Shepard actually affected everyone in the galaxy with his choices - and that's just what I got. I didn't like the idea of Sythesis before - but seeing how it made the galaxy a happier place I became ok with it. Happy, even.
Sure the plot isn't perfect - it never is in any game. But I for one was extremely satisfied with the 'feel' and emotional closure this time round.
