The Starchild asserts his solutions will no longer work. Upon player rejection of the Starchild's new solutions, he decides to continue with the old, failed solution.

Where is the Normandy in the rejection ending? I don't understand if it is on Earth or on the jungle planet. If it isn't on Earth it is a plot hole.

Everything and everyone dies in the Rejection ending. There is no Normandy scene (either crashed or taking off)

Well, what choice does he have?  He knows his solutions will fail eventually in all likelihood, but Shepard doesn't feel like coming up with a new solution, and he's the only person on the Citadel.  Might as well clean house, harvest everyone, and give it another go, and hope everyone's too dumb to believe in the Reapers yet again.

Part of the Normandy remains, you see Liara's room with her shadow broker screens and the message she recorded. So where is that? if that planet isn't Earth it is a plot hole

I noticed that too

SC: My solution won't work anymore
Shepard: I refuse to choose
SC: The cycle continues
Me: What?

You cant get to picky. For a rush job I actually like it. But I have only seen one ending so far, and that was synthisis. and that was my daughters file. My Shep playthrough was differant then hers. I am waiting to see how my ending will be.

But I did notice a few things. Like the fact that you get to see Tali (at least I think it was her) unmasked. My issue with that little scene is that the Tali (if it was her) looks nothing like the stock photo pic BW used for the pic that Tali gives Shep. And if it was Tali she looked plain. That is my biggest complaint right now.

Think it was ment to be Kasumi not tali in pic.

This is just similar to the room but not identical. I think it is just one of her "beacons". Good equipment btw, I really would like to buy a computer and screens which can survive 50.000 years :D

How do the squadmates on the ground in the final fight get to the Normandy?

They must have been injured by the blast so the Normandy would have to search for them on the ground.  So why didn't the Normandy look for Commander Shepard?  I mean in the Destroy Option, he is still sitting in the rubble.

Kid: Synthesis is ultimate solution
Shepard: Why have you not done it before?
Kid: I did and it did not work, you can't force it on organics.
Shepard: Hang On... why is me forcing it on organics different
Kid: You have implants
Me: Face Plam

Shep never states she/he doesn't want to come up with a solution and is only rejecting the three options the Starchild presented. What recourse would the Starchild have? Discussion and compromise: find a workable solution for both parties Or acqiuesence: Realization that Shep is correct and submits to her/his will. As the only solution the Starchild is equppied to employ of his own will now does not work, logically he now needs to find something that will. Not continue to do what has failed.

If EDI and the Geth did die, then why did Shepard live with high EMS? I'm pretty sure she would die with out her synthetics.

Also how did they know Anderson was died and not Shepard??

[*]Walking towards an exploding pipe which you've just shot makes you more likely to survive. Even if you are bleeding out at the time.

[*]Heh, I still facepalmed at that.  I was hoping that would be fixed and enable Sheps survival of this choice to be more clear cut.  Silly me.

If the ghost kid is an AI why hasn’t he decided to kill all organics, as he claims all AI will?

Wow, 34 new and old plot holes.

Yeah, that "clarifies" and "provides closure" real well there EA/Bioware.

Another epic fail....

That isn't part of the Normandy. It's an underground chamber meant to preserve the message. You see a beacon above it on the surface.

[*]Harbinger still flies away, careless that it's nemesis is still breathing.
[*]It is STILL not explained how the f*** Shepard can survive the Destroy ending, despite being partly synthetic and mortally wounded. Oh and walking into the exploding pipe, surviving atmosphere entry and somehow not being crushed by any Citadel rubble whatsoever.
[*]Star Child's voice suddenly changes if you reject the "solutions"... Why?

[*]Just wait for the DLC no 1 no 2... no 3: "Escape from the Citadel" for only 10$ Image IPB

Yet it regularly lands at illium, in the same game.

Well this is a game, so there can't exactly be an option to negotiate another solution like in the real world. And besides, the whole galaxy is kind of getting wrecked while Shepard and the Catalyst are talking.  And you're assuming there is another solution involving the Crucible.  And I wouldn't say the cycle "failed" from the Catalyst's perspective: this is the first time anyone screwed it up.

In the reject ending, after Starchild spits his dummy out and has a tantrum and walks off, he says the cycle will continue and we see the beam and the crucible shut down, leaving Shepard alone.

If Starchild could just turn off the Crucible like that why would he even want to talk to Shepard or use it's solutions, wouldn't he just turn off the Crucible as soon as it docked?
