Granted, there are still some nuances that revealed themselves to me. How come Harbinger never blasted the Normandy out of the sky? Why does Destroy still kill off the geth and edi ( I would have liked it if they had lived, but the relays were destroyed beyond repair)? How can Shepard survive the Citadel exploding? And... wait. That's it.
That's it... for me, the ending went from countless plotholes to about three. And I'm fine with that, because the endings are now as satisfying and uplifting as Bioware had originally said they would be. I know that the BSN will probably come up with a thousand new problems in the ending, but I really don't care anymore. I feel like Mass Effect is finally complete for me.
So in a way this is goodbye... to the Story and Campaign Discussion forum:whistle:. Hopefully one day the forum will fufill its true purpose and talk about something OTHER than the endings, but until then, I'm out. I have all the answers I need.
Thank-you Bioware (specifically the ME3 team) for bringing back the faith. I look forward to rebuying my copy of ME3 and renewing my Mass Effect experience.
N7Infernox out.
Closing remarks:
- I'll probably still be checking out the 'Fan Creations' and 'Character' forums. They remind me of that user-created-renaissance that happened post ME3 and I'd like to see what happens now that ME3 is done. Besides, Lankist is running ME MS Paint Adventures, and it's hilarious.
-The original endings seem so radical in retrospect; it's almost funny. I'll kind of miss them...NOT!
-I get a kick out of the part in the Rejection ending, where the Starchild unleashed his demon voice. Just thought i'd share that.
-I hope some other long-time ME fans are as satisfied as I am. Otherwise... well... time heals all wounds I guess.
-never, ever, ever, EVER, pre order a game. Period. End of line.
