Derek, which Mass Effect character do you think most closely resembles you?
Joker (when I forget to shave, though I'm about Shepard-sized. Male, to be clear)

Alternatively is there any hope of bringing MP weapons into SP?
I adore my cerberus harrier and I think Shepard would too.

So, as a part of the dev team, what change do YOU think would improve multiplayer the most? I'm hoping this can get around the wall of things you can't say since I'm not really asking about what you guys might or might not be working on ;-)

Well, there's a long story here. It all started when...no comment!
Where's the sales department? Are they looking here too? Because I'm sure money could be involved. At least with my software company sales is ready to promise you a lot if you wave some wads of cash in their face!

Hey BW I had an idea with the new warp ammo IV. What I tried to make was a biotic soldier with it and spamming concussion shot (ammo effect evo 6) with a team of reavers. However, there was no boom explosion everywhere? Does warp ammo on CS not detonate biotic explosions or is there something I'm missing here with CS?

Thank you Bioware for the changes to the store. One question though. Do like the Turian Sentinel? Cuz that's one my current favorites with my shiny new Talon and Saber.

Since we have Derek here, do power enhancements (like power amps) increase damage of items I spawn, like drones and turrets, or just powers that I throw?

I'm guessing you guys see at least some of the build threads that float around here. Do you ever get surprised by some of the less-obvious builds that people come up with? Like the Geth Grenadier for crowd control, the endless GPSMG with an HSold or a no-Charge Vanguard.

Sorry, I was distracted...what?
Are you more into those asari's or quarians or do you go old school batarian xP
Serious question though, did you play as a paragon or renegade ad if so what was your favorite renegade/paragon action?

This! Since I know you are reading this thread! This to the Nth degree! I actually used $10 last night with the store, simply as a thank you for making the change! I was tickled pink with it!

We need an official Derek Hollan Q&A session
You're looking at it.
Although I am thankful for this thread and Derek Hollan answering so fast and so much, I must ask: "Why is Bioware commenting overall so few on the forums?"
Fear and dread.
Honestly, though, everyone IS really busy and rarely get a chance to get into big discussions about one issue or another. They DO read as much as they can about their particular department issues though. So you are being heard even if it seems to take a long time for them to be able to address or even view an issue.
And some are genuinely shy...Did you know if you turn on the lights in the programmer room they skitter for cover?
So... what changed to make you so much more active lately?
That isn't just me, right? There seems to be a lot more Bioware team activity on the forums now...

One more question Derek. Do you prefer fighting with close range classes, long range classes, or both?

Although Quarians have the hips...I think I still like Asari...
Weirdest question I've ever answered, I think
Haha nothing is weird on bsn
Im into batarians, thought you were a batarian lover as well:crying:
I like t that you find my name funny, I often have that in random lobbies that people spell that name and such

Why do I feel like I took your question out of context?
I do love the Batarian lines of dialogue.
"With pleasure!" and such
Sums up my feelings for reviving people sometimes:happy:

Admittedly, many are cautious to the point of concern that they will be received the wrong way or taken out of context. While very skilled at their jobs, some are not as comfortable with public venues. It took me months before I became "comfortable" with the idea before I began getting my feet wet, as it were. It could just be my perception though. I can't speak for everyone, of course.
Thanks for that. Feels like it helped a lot. People will happily rage against a faceless company, and will rage even more loudly if they feel it's not getting them anywhere, but when there's actual people to talk to... suddenly everyone starts being civil. It certainly makes for a nice change.

I understand and I think you are right. I know if people saw the anguish here in the office when a particular bug or glitch falls through the preverbial cracks you would see we feel your pain.
Being QA it hurts even moreso.
I know exactly what you mean. I'm more or less in a position where bugs tend to effect the thousands of customers we have, but then moreso the safety issues that open up to our customer's customers when things don't work. It can feel terrible!
Just remember that no one is dying though if you make a mistake! .... Well outside the game I mean.

Another useless question that popped up in my mind. A lot of you Bioware folks seem to use characteristic smileys at the end of your post. Does that limit the number of Bioware employees allowed on the forums to the number of smileys?

Derek, I have a few questions
1. I dont have a Krogan Battlemaster yet, but I've heard Rage on the class is bugged. Is this likely to be fixed anytime soon?
2. I think it would be cool to have ex-cerberus characters in the rumored earth DLC. Do you think it would be cool to play as a phantom with a sword as a heavy melee?
