Serious question though, did you play as a paragon or renegade ad if so what was your favorite renegade/paragon action?
I beg to differ.

Now I imagine te whole bw crew sitting there watching fornax instead of working >.<
Sorry, I was distracted...what?
Are you more into those asari's or quarians or do you go old school batarian xP
Serious question though, did you play as a paragon or renegade ad if so what was your favorite renegade/paragon action?
I have a Shepard for both.
But my favourite line is from Noveria in Mass Effect 1.
Gianna Parasini: You can't just bludgeon your way through bureaucracy.
Shepard: I can bludgeon pretty hard.

Then Shepard proceeds to light the Krogan with a fire explosion:devil:

We need an official Derek Hollan Q&A session
You're looking at it.
Although I am thankful for this thread and Derek Hollan answering so fast and so much, I must ask: "Why is Bioware commenting overall so few on the forums?"
Fear and dread.
Honestly, though, everyone IS really busy and rarely get a chance to get into big discussions about one issue or another. They DO read as much as they can about their particular department issues though. So you are being heard even if it seems to take a long time for them to be able to address or even view an issue.
And some are genuinely shy...Did you know if you turn on the lights in the programmer room they skitter for cover?
So... what changed to make you so much more active lately?
That isn't just me, right? There seems to be a lot more Bioware team activity on the forums now...

Admittedly, many are cautious to the point of concern that they will be received the wrong way or taken out of context. While very skilled at their jobs, some are not as comfortable with public venues. It took me months before I became "comfortable" with the idea before I began getting my feet wet, as it were. It could just be my perception though. I can't speak for everyone, of course.

One more question Derek. Do you prefer fighting with close range classes, long range classes, or both?
Oh, yes! Both!
As long as I'm spec'd right, of course. I try to get too close with my Quarian engineer.

Thanks for that. Feels like it helped a lot. People will happily rage against a faceless company, and will rage even more loudly if they feel it's not getting them anywhere, but when there's actual people to talk to... suddenly everyone starts being civil. It certainly makes for a nice change.

I hate that so much. It sucks when I get killed by 5 rockets as a turian soldier only to look and see only one or two rocket troopers. Then some Krogan comes along and tells me to stop whining.
B-but, it's not right:crying:

I understand and I think you are right. I know if people saw the anguish here in the office when a particular bug or glitch falls through the preverbial cracks you would see we feel your pain.
Being QA it hurts even moreso.

How much more painful do you think this thread would be for you if it was in the SP forums (The SP is one of my favorite games ever but not everyone agrees lol)?
Admittedly, I have spent most of my QA time with multi-player but I have much sympathy for my QA brothers and sisters on SP.
I know that doesn't really answer your question. I'm just sayin'.

I can emphatize... a lot of the past decade of my working time has been spent breaking stuffs, then I have to go convince the vendors their product doesn't work right, and get them to fix it. Even with the many cycles of testing (and post production release testing) there are still stuffs that falls through the cracks. Really stupid stuff even.
There are those days I just wish I could have a project that would go smoothly with nothing to report. Its like all these bugs follows me around just to annoy me.
