Download fly VPN and use the trial code here
http://www.flyvpn.com/freetrial

Connect to USA california VPN.
Run Origin.
Then "Purchase" the EC.
Disconnect from the VPN.
Disconnect from Origin.
Reconnect to Origin with your normal IP
Then start downloading.

Niether flyvpn nor hotspot working for me, still getting blank Game Add-Ons window. Glad it's fixing it for most people though.

It has to appear there at least once to start the download doesn't it? because it never shows up for me.

I seriously don't suggest you entering your origin data accounts through non-confirmed vpns...
First of all ensure the traffic it's encrypted.

 FlyVPN worked for me as well (I'm in Uruguay, South America), so thanks for the tip.

As a side comment, wouldn't it be great if someone would invent some kind of network that would connect every computer in the world so everyone would have access to everything, at all times, without these stupid region restrictions?

We could call this fantastic, albeit admittedly far-fetched contraption something like "InternationalNetwork". Or maybe something a bit shorter.

Used VPN, but I am not sure if it will work, because the "Extended Cut" doesn't have a release date in Origin. Is it like that for everybody and should it work anyway?
