Just played the EC.  I chose to reject the choices, which was a nice touch to have it added as an option.  The catalyst's explanations of the given choices were much better and they made more sense.  I picked reject just because I was surprised to see it as an option and because I expected to get railroaded into picking one, anyway.  Probably would have picked Destroy, otherwise, but nice to see it didn't just railroad you.

Bioware did as good a job as they could have while keeping the existing ending.  Would have liked a few updates on your crew on the gorund (maybe they have them in different endings, though.)  Losing the pointless turret sequence on the goodbye treadmill would have been nice, too.

So I guess the game's theme boils down to a sort of futurist Frankenstein.  That theme was obviously better explored by Mary Shelley but I suppose they do something a little different with the whole futurist thing so I'll give it to them.  I'm impressed that it didn't end up being completely stupid.
