I admit it, Synthesis was the best by far

So much profeit from sysnthesis. This is why we needed the EC, Bioware. We had no idea this is what you meant by synthesis. It's Awesome!
Also LOLOLOLOLOL at godchild "SO BE IT" line. That has to be Bioware's way of saying "You asked for another ending..."

From a philosophical point of view the writers of this franchise keep treating organic life as inherently mystical. We're not. We're very easy to explain through sheer materialism alone. Humans have no such thing as an "essence of who and what they are." That's what 15th century clerics believed. They thought we had some sort of divine spark. We left that idea behind a long, long time ago.
When I jump into an intergalactic laserbeam, the only thing that's gonna happen is a lot of charred flesh.

Only problem I have with synthesis is that it's still space magic and thus still makes no sense. Spacekid's elaboration on what it is makes no sense at all. "The essence of who and what I am will be sent out". Really now? And what, pray tell, is that essence exactly? Because it sounds like hocus pocus to me.

That makes no sense how? Radiation changes your DNA easily. Sure it's a stretch but I really think that you confuse SPACE MAGIC and SCIENCE FICTION too much.

Destroy and reject were the best endings. Control had a sense of impending doom in the future to it.

My name was cmdr. Shepard and this is the best ending in the game.

But yeah, as long as you don't mind helping Space Hitler create a master race, and don't care about realistic SCIENCE fiction, or logic or reason, then it's all rainbows and Krogan cakes.

Radiation changes my DNA, but explain how a change of my DNA through radiation that I'm subjected to somehow affects anyone else that is not a direct descendant of mine?
Moreover, how exactly does radiation turn "the matrices of organic life" as the spacekid says into something synthetic. It makes no damn sense.
I'm fine with fiction, but if you claim to write science fiction the science part is the operative term. Otherwise it's just fantasy. Which is fine too, but you don't suddenly decide to switch genres at the last possible minute.

True. Technically it's a space magic beam.

"I AM ALIVE."
You were alive before, EDI. Having absorbed someone's magical "essence of who and what they are" doesn't somehow make you more alive. I needed no further convincing that you lived the moment Joker unshackled you in ME2.

I see, this bothers you in the same way a living blob falls from the sky from a meteor and eats anything it gets ahold of. You're imagination is tainted by criticism

Oh, yeah, actually. Here is synthesis's second prime offense:

Does that matter though? EDI knows what it means to be alive now. She never had emotions before or was able to other things us organic types love to do like cry when we are told NO.

The synthasis ending was also my favorite. I like all the new ones really although destroy is a little sad when you think that all the geth and edi would be killed.

No offense, but this is just amazingly stupid.
I can see why you don't get how totally impossible synthesis is just from these two sentences.
If you like the green space magic ending, then great, but please, never try to justify it to others ever again again.
