Exactly. That's how everything got 'nerfed' up in the first place.
My characters are pretty much maxed out, and I only have UR weapons left, so all I get now is ammo/gear

This one speaks the truth. I don't want ammo drops if I don't have my gear or characters maxed out stronger ammo should only be awarded to people who have everything maxed. Including ultra rare
and i do not think that bioware misunderstood this - in the original post about the change stood: "Specifically, we want you to get new content faster and have a satisfying replacement drop..." - and so on,
but as with the same change process, they also changed level 3 consumables to silver cards and introduced level 4 consumables (guess it is really just level 4 one-mission ammo-powers so far) that are dropped as gold cards, what means that they destroyed the wanted benefits of the good move to remove the maxed-out character card dublicates with the same process, as in the result - we have players (like me), that already have all common, uncommon and rare guns, their mods and every character maxed out, but (unlike me) forgotten this newer"max-out-able" "4th gear-slot equipment" arguing about what better was - xp for credits and all consumables as commons - or like now, even more consumables & better ones instead, while i repeatedly saw reports from players that have still weapons or characters to upgrade/ "to train" and talked to buddys currently in this position, that are saying that this silver and gold card consumables are dropped out to them as well... .
so, yeah - the summary is: the current, chaotic state of silver and gold card consumables being dropped out to everyone in almost every of the more pricey and the reward packs does not help anyone and seems to at least completely torpidate the character-card change effort,
maybe even mathematicaly worses the main reason why it has annoyed (guess almost all of) us.
- so my guess is, they should either make sure that this silver and gold card consumables are not dropped to anyone who has still uncommon and rare gear to level up/ max out
(what would really result in the change we, surely all where hoping for),or they should at least give the other uncommon and rare stuff that still waits to be maxed out "a more than fair chance" to be dropped in comparison to the consumables (what i think we have not yet - i do not know the dropout-rates for the newer players that still have main gear stuff to recive/ max - but as it is just for the comparison to the "4th gear-slot stuff" - i say "more than fair" rates look very different). like this state we have now, i say the goals are not met (it was posted: "Specifically, we want you to get new content faster and have a satisfying replacement drop..." - riiiiiight, me too!) - but instead, at best nothing has changed from out the main issue - maybe it was even worsen with the "change-bundle".

I'd just like to say this is even better than my agument. So please guys, give us what we actuallt want and not more crap we don't need...

Amazing, Truly amazing. They bring great change, one that everybody wanted, and now you ask to remove this fix because of what? You lvl up with character cards and only play one class?
No, Bioware won't change it back because you whine(as you puti it yourself). One of the biggest mistakes for any MP community, is for developers to listen to EVERY single small opinion. That way whiners have ruined so many MP games, which they rarely play because, logically, they don't really like the game they constantly whine about on forums, am I right?
I would lovw more maps, characters, and maybe Yagh or something else as a new enemy, or to lvl up some N7 weapons, but I don't WHINE about it, If it comes, it comes. If not, I can still enjoy the game,

Not everybody wanted the change just the group that ****ed louder
I never wanted the change and was voiciferous in that regard
so when you say "everybody" you mean "some people"
And I still enjoy the game, so don't assume that's what i meant

No, the worst thing is buy a spectre pack/PSP and not getting any Gold cards.

I mean, character cards are nice in giving experience points, but I also like ammo consumables too, especially if for instance, I decide to use something else than a Piercing Mod for my weapons.

Yay - finally got a gold gear ....... what? it is single use !?!?!?!
Me, opening a veteran pack:
Yay - got a silver gear ........ what? it is single use, level 3 ? I got plenty of these before and all were blue.
The good thing is I am not going to get another 50 Salarian Infiltrators before getting one Vorcha ....

hum, now kinda can't do that unless buying recuit packs gives you cards still
my only gripe was lvl 20s getting cards thus wasting XP. now it just wastes the drop with a 1 time use item....for 99,000 or 60,000....hum...kinda sucks

On the bright side, at least now I'm not getting four Batarian Sentinel cards in a row by buying psp's. At least I could use these new drops for later, but kinda sad that I still haven't got the Black Widow or Cerberus Harrier. Oh well. One day I'll get them eventually, just like the day when I got the M-90 Indra, by luck.

the only difference now is that Lv.4 ammo drops if you receive a CC for a maxed out uncommon or gold character
if you don't have any maxed out rare characters, Lv.4 ammo won't drop at all
would you rather have a redundant CC?

This IS BAD.
I foresee so much frustration.
This is really going to kill the game in 2 weeks if it's not changed.
People must have ALL maxed up, gear included before getting the ammo...also only 1 piece of consummable, really?
I don't mind the overall idea, I don't mind characters card either (I really prefer them to consummables actually) but AFTER ALL my uncommon and rares are maxed out.
