Also great decision to limit the IV armor equipment to just to Cyclonic Modulator IV and Power Amplifier Module IV.

Adrenaline Module IV and Shield Power Cells IV could have been overpowered on classes that already have nice speed and shield recharge bonuses, and meh on others.

Stabilization Module IV and Power Efficiency Module IV would have been meh overall, so it's good that we don't have those in game.

I'm picturing a drell with an Adrenaline Module IV chasing down a Nemesis... It makes me happy.

Power Efficiency IV would've been nice in combination with gear.

that was from buying a RECRUIT pack.. 60K exp

if you really want to level up that much just buy recruit packs. Your net EXP will be much greater than from buying Spectre packs

Each gold run gives you 70K. You can buy 14 recruits. Each has a very high chance of a character pack.

I'm sure that's much preferable than wasting 60K and getting only one gold character card that gives 120K exp

well i'll be. i guess i'll have to wait until 360 updates it. not that i'm in a terrible rush, because at this point in time, i dont want anything else from packs but the harrier (so i can complete the UR collection), so i'm just gonna save a ton of credits until more interesting stuff comes out.

Finally someonewho gets my point! I thought I was the only one who didn't like tis upgrade very much! It's very nice of BioWare the listened to the community, but I think this change was quite radical, cause there still are people who like extra character cards
And indeed you loose equipment quicker than you can obtain it! And that matchmaking wasn't fun either
So hopefully BioWare listens again

I hope! Image IPB

if you are a bad player, yes.
and...I'm not an "elite" that can solo gold, but I learnt to play gold with random and learnt to not waste cosumable because people rage quits or connection fails, or they don't use rockets, medigel at the right time.
consumables are for sissies.

Hahhahahhahahahahha oh wow so you are complaining that other people don't use their rockets or medi gels at the right time, then you turn around and say those that do are sissies, basically... your statements aren't making sense.

Whatever.

I love the fact that the N7 leader boards have come a grinding halt and will become a more accurate representation of the time people spend building there classes up not playing wgg till the wheels fall off. Down with all cc's for the people that have them built. Let them cry on HA!

Sweet change huh? Now instead of getting trolled by mass character cards in our PSP's, we get trolled by mass consumable ammos. *facepalms*

Well at least i can use ammo i suppose.

I suspect this has already been said, so it is likely a +1.

I've been buying (Premium) Spectre Packs to try and level my Rare Gear, but have had extremely limited success in that regard. Previously I was generating character cards, now I am generating ammunition. If it is possible to make it so that the store checks for character maximisation before generating rare consumables, can it also check for gear maximisation?

I'm not sure if they fixed this or not, but previously, you have more luck acquiring gear with regular Spectre Packs

The problem with Premium SPs is that the two gold slots are seeded for only Character and Weapons. If you were to get a gold gear from a PSP it would be a random chance from the other 3 slots

Whereas the regular SP's gold slot is seeded for character, gear and weapon

"We want you to know that we’ve been listening. We’ve heard"

Lsitened, heard, and totally failed to understand

People hated the repeat character cards becuase they wanted something better, like rare weapons or gear.
No one was crying for rare consumables. :pinched:

I'd rather take the 500k exp I usually get from a PSP than two rare ammos.

I'm kind of disappointed that I won't be getting any more XP extravaganzas. On the other hand, it's a good excuse for not bothering with the promo shuffle and just maxing out all my characters at 20 again. At last I can have everyone maxed out at 20 without the irrational feeling that every time I buy a Premium Spectre Pack I'm "wasting" all the XP that would come with those character cards.

BW did understand. It really didn't matter what it was, as long as it was useful...the character cards were pretty pointless once everything was unlocked.

I suppose one thing BW could do is to still do character cards after unlock IF and ONLY IF there were still classes under level 20. Personally though, I'd rather just get items like they set it up as. I only mention the "under 20" thing because some people might still want cards to get to 20 even if unlocked...kind of a waste in my opinion, since leveling is supposed to be something you've done.

calm down pudding. and yes i hate character cards. i play silver because its a win and its easy. i play gold with my friends. i also have a life and can only really find time to play at night for about 2 hours. i'm sadly not hip so i dont know what "RNG brain" means, although i'm sure its meant to be some sort of insult (and boy does it sting).

since the abolishment of the character cards for my maxed out characters. i have since gotten at least a harrier 1 which i have been chasing and am starting to max out the new gear.

i also know that unless you havent played since this change. there is no way you would have 0 level 4 gear or ammo.

if you actually havent played or bought since this update. then why are you on here speaking your opinion on something you have no actual knowledge of? seems a bit silly to me.

I'm not angry at what you like or not, but at the fact that you check Manifest to come with your stuff.
I played only a gold yesterday (Italy match on TV :P), but bought 3 Veteran packs and a recruit one (just out of frustration), no PSPs because I wanted to complete the friggin' Uncommon Gear section, but didn't even get a single piece of gear, but in a pack I found 3 +3medigels, 1 shotgun amp II and 1 shotgun amp III, just to tell you how much it's broken now.
So, good for you it works, it doesn't for me YET.
Rng brain, I mean that you want to collect random datas and come out with random points that don't reflect the reality of things.
Also, for clarity, I hope you figure out that I didn't say that YOU are a bad player, just that an average gold player can play without consumables. JUST that.

You guys realize how hard it will be to max out your gear bonuses now, right? I've purchased several Vet packs to try and finish off the uncommon gear, and guess what I got? The now "uncommon" ammo III's and rails for SMG's. That's backwards. Whoop dee - farking - doo.

Well the uncommons are just the blues that you had, now silver.

The rares are +40% instead of +30% damage in whatever category for ammos.

update doesn't change the drop rate for gears

what happens is you were given lv.3 ammo instead of silver character cards

In case of Uncommon/Silver Characters
Let's say you have a Turian Soldier with maxed out customization options (lights, pattern, ect)You were supposed to get another Turian Soldier CC. Instead, you get an uncommon (lv.3) ammo now. If you were supposed to get another Silver character that you haven't maxed out, you would still get that.

In case of Rare/Gold Characters

Let's say you have a Krogan Soldier with maxed out customization options (lights, pattern, ect)You were supposed to get another Krogan CC. Instead, you get an rare (lv.4) ammo now. If you were supposed to get another Gold character that you haven't maxed out, you would still get that.

If there's anyone to blame is the damn bloody RNG

You fail to understand, that the drop-rate for gear hasn't changed. At all. Instead of silver or gold character cards, you get the respective ammo powers once you have maxed the character kits. If you had gotten a gear in a pack before the change, you'd get the same gear now. Please stop claiming you don't get any more gear or less than before. It's just not true.

Level I weapon with right level IV ammo power can be much more devastating against some enemies than level X weapon with no ammo power.

What is the practical difference between increasing drop rate for powerful consumables so much that you can always use them on gold matches, and permanent buff? There is pretty much no difference. Now you are going to get so many III and IV ammo powers that you can use proper type on gold most of time.

The ME3 multiplayer development and support relies on micro transactions for their funding. There is not going to be any drastic drop rate jump from gear being rare and some weapons rare or ultra rare to them dropping in every pack once you've unlocked all character card upgrades, they are not going to become suddenly dozen times more common because that would undermine the value of the previous micro transactions, and general trust in Bioware and EA micro transactions, they would not get any more money from those people in any other BW or EA game micro transactions.
