I'm one who is not so keen on the change frankly. Getting a single use ammo drop as one of my 'golds' is a huge disappointment.
It doesn't give anything like the sense of satisfaction as knocking a new weapon or an upgrade, or getting one of the gear bonus drops. In fact it seems rather cheap.
My strong suggestion would be that if you continue with this you need to rebalance the 'value' of the drops again, by making the single use drops a multiple, so instead of getting just one you get get several, like the missiles.

Yesterday I played Golds with my friend OscuraShiva and others for 4 hours (shiva played 6 hrs).
I bought only Vet packs (24 of them) and got 2 pieces of uncommon gear and commando package II (rare)
My friend Shiva bought 5 PSPs and got 5 cyclonic modulator IV

and from his words on the forums I guess keru_90 too is frustrated...
are almost on the point of leaving because it's becoming frustrating to go through a 25-30 minutes gold to get rewarded with a consumable for 1 match.

Not to be rude...... but are you sure this change went into effect?
I am getting no new content faster. I am getting the exact same trash. I still get character cards. They suck. I want guns. I get no guns - only character cards for characters I already have! How is this in ANY way a change at all? The only thing I have seen is some ammo level 4 stuff. It does not list the damage of it - it only says hi, level 4 ammo for one mission. Whoopty.
When I read your post, I spent 1/2 a million credits, and got total garbage. The only thing slightly of note was 2 of the level 4 ammo packs. I got no weapons at all. I got no equipment. I can get no new equipment for my new fourth slot. Why is that? Should I get the good spectre packs, or the regualr spectre packs? Why do you have us spending more creds for less gear, with the good gear not dropping?
Why are guns and equipment slots the only thing that consistently do not drop? Please do not come out and state that things are all better and good, when in fact they are basically not different at all, with the exception of rare and elusive level four ammo.
I'm not very happy with my favorite class getting smurfed, but I can deal with it. If I had some weaponry that was even slightly good I would use it to fight on other classes, since eveyone hates infiltrators. This is hard to do though, since weapons refuse to drop, as do 4th equipment slot items. How are we supposed to have fun and stomp face when good items will not drop, no matter how much I spend? How is this fun, or leading us to new content?
Is the RNG mechanic being fixed, or not? If I am spending 90,000 creds for a premium spectre pack, I do not want all trash items! I want something worthy of the time I spent earning these items. Is this issue being addressed?

You're complaining about weapons when you have a Black Widow VI. It looks from your manifest like the ONLY ultra-rare you haven't unlocked is the Javelin. I'd say your luck has been pretty good.

3. Overall the many packages I opened since the change brought me very little satisfaction. A 99000 credits PSP with ammo/armour rares last about 1 gold game, which brings you only 70000ish credits. Feels like a waste, so better stock up the rare ammo.

I have the same problem as you have. Between the rebellion dlc & the changes to packs i was unlocking ultra rares just fine. What has happened so suddenly??? I mean the drop rate is beyond pathetic.

Anyway I like the new ammo bonus. Only because of respec cards though. I'd rather have usefull ammo bonus's then a higher N7 rating. N7 means nothing

Before the change I was buying a lot of Veteren Packs so that I could upgrade the new gear faster, but after the change I think I've gotten one, maybe two, gear upgrades from VP. Instead of gear I've been getting a bunch of Uncommon single use equipment that used to be common, and since there are more of them than the uncommon gear I get them more often than not. Not at all happy about it, but it's not going to stop me from playing the game.
