Is it a coincidence that after this patch, I haven't been getting -any- character cards, not even ones I haven't unlocked yet?

For example, I still don't have Geth Infiltrator or Cerberus Adept, and I dont have all the apperance options for many of the DLC classes

Guh, first I hear we'll be getting more equipment per pack and that turns out to be a lie, you guys stuffed in the one use garbage as uncommon to assure we wouldn't benefit from it, then I get my long-maxed-out Human male Vanguard card in a kit scratching my head wondering "Wait, I thought they said we wouldn't get maxed out character cards!?" and come to read no, it's ONLY when you get a rare card that it won't happen.

I have saved up to buy 3 separate Premium Spectre Packs now, and have only gotten weapon unlocks. Not a single character unlock. I thought it might have been a fluke, as I have notoriously bad luck, but a friend just bought 2 of the Premium Spectre Packs and had the exact same thing happen -- all weapons, no character cards.

Is this a new thing? Would I be better off just getting the regular Spectre packs if I want character cards?

This is totally unfair: now the world highest N7 will be there forever staring at the poor players that will never be able to reach em...Good job on that!!!
at least remove the N7 ranking
Bah this bsn always asked for absurd things reciving even more absurd responses from developers; too good that I already stopped playing the game since 1 month

After 25 pages, I hope the moderator's stamina is up to to more feedback...

I'm one who is not so keen on the change frankly. Getting a single use ammo drop as one of my 'golds' is a huge disappointment.

It doesn't give anything like the sense of satisfaction as knocking a new weapon or an upgrade, or getting one of the gear bonus drops. In fact it seems rather cheap.

My strong suggestion would be that if you continue with this you need to rebalance the 'value' of the drops again, by making the single use drops a multiple, so instead of getting just one you get get several, like the missiles.

Yesterday I played Golds with my friend OscuraShiva and others for 4 hours (shiva played 6 hrs).
I bought only Vet packs (24 of them) and got 2 pieces of uncommon gear and commando package II (rare)
My friend Shiva bought 5 PSPs and got 5 cyclonic modulator IV

Both me and Shiva and other Italian friends

and from his words on the forums I guess keru_90 too is frustrated...

are almost on the point of leaving because it's becoming frustrating to go through a 25-30 minutes gold to get rewarded with a consumable for 1 match.

I Like the idea of multiple ammo like missles. That said, I just got a character unlock last night, the quarian infiltrator, so its working. I have loved getting so many weapon unlocks lately as I don't really get so excited about promotions.

I'm thinking the same about the rare drop changes. Also, I used to get N7 upgrades in at least some 99000 point chests. Those seem to have stopped completely. It's been over 20 of those and many weeks since I've gotten any N7 upgrades. My Indra is stuck at level 5.

I say they did it wrong. They should have had it so that you can't get character cards for characters you have max appearance on, similar to weapons you have max upgrades of, but once you get max on all character cards within a rarity, you should instead get an XP-class-boost that gives XP to a class (which one is random, like a character card) with a slightly greater boost than character cards give, as a reward for getting all the character cards within a rarity. This would make it easier to get all the characters and appearances unlocked (rather than spamming ones we have maxed while others aren't unlocked) and reward us more for unlocking all the character cards, without having to give us stuff of higher rarities we haven't unlocked when we have everything within a rarity maxed. We weren't upset about getting character cards too often, we were upset about getting character cards for characters we already had maxed!

i haven't gotten any of the Cerberus class or any other ultra rare and this is me burning 1900 x-box point's getting nothing but common's

Again, the biggest problem with this replacement of CC with gear is that Bioware made several pieces of junk gear previously available in recruit packs and JE packs UNCOMMON. Common gear became uncommon, replacing uncommon character cards with common gear. There was no gain, only a loss there. And gold character cards went away to be replaced by ammo powers that go away after a single EFFING MATCH.

This is an absolute, complete net loss for anyone with the sense to save up until all characters were level 20, mass promote, and go on a shopping spree.

After the introduction of the lvl IV equipment i have seen a drastic decrease in ultra rare drops for myself. I was unlocking them at a very decent rate after rebellion DLC came out. But now in the last week i have managed to unlock only 2. May well be my luck. But i spend around 10 mln or so everyday & it was definitely better before for sure.

Not to be rude......   but are you sure this change went into effect?


I am getting no new content faster.  I am getting the exact same trash.  I still get character cards.  They suck.  I want guns.  I get no guns - only character cards for characters I already have!  How is this in ANY way a change at all?  The only thing I have seen is some ammo level 4 stuff.  It does not list the damage of it - it only says hi, level 4 ammo for one mission.   Whoopty.

When I read your post, I spent 1/2 a million credits, and got total garbage.  The only thing slightly of note was 2 of the level 4 ammo packs.  I got no weapons at all.  I got no equipment.  I can get no new equipment for my new fourth slot.  Why is that?  Should I get the good spectre packs, or the regualr spectre packs?  Why do you have us spending more creds for less gear,  with the good gear not dropping?  

Why are guns and equipment slots the only thing that consistently do not drop?  Please do not come out and state that things are all better and good, when in fact they are basically not different at all, with the exception of rare and elusive level four ammo. 

I'm not very happy with my favorite class getting smurfed, but I can deal with it.  If I had some weaponry that was even slightly good I would use it to fight on other classes, since eveyone hates infiltrators.  This is hard to do though, since weapons refuse to drop, as do 4th equipment slot items.  How are we supposed to have fun and stomp face when good items will not drop, no matter how much I spend?  How is this fun, or leading us to new content?

Is the RNG mechanic being fixed, or not?  If I am spending 90,000 creds for a premium spectre pack, I do not want all trash items!  I want something worthy of the time I spent earning these items.  Is this issue being addressed?

You're complaining about weapons when you have a Black Widow VI. It looks from your manifest like the ONLY ultra-rare you haven't unlocked is the Javelin. I'd say your luck has been pretty good.

Good part : managed to max out the characters so I am not getting them anymore:

Bad part(s):
1. Haven't seen a ultra-rare since then. I maxed out the rare weapons and I was starting to get a lot of ultra-rares before the change.
2. I don't get too many gear bonuses, uncommon or rare. Surprisingly, since I maxed out everything else. I get instead lots of ammo, single use, which are kind of useless, or may save you 1-2 minutes in a gold game.
3. Overall the many packages I opened since the change brought me very little satisfaction. A 99000 credits PSP with ammo/armour rares last about 1 gold game, which brings you only 70000ish credits. Feels like a waste, so better stock up the rare ammo.

I would like to see stacks of ammo instead of one rare ammo. A gold cc, if you grabbed it at level one, would grant - what - five or six levels' worth of XP? I see the rationale of the exchange, but I still had the levels after a match.

I have the same problem as you have. Between the rebellion dlc & the changes to packs i was unlocking ultra rares just fine. What has happened so suddenly??? I mean the drop rate is beyond pathetic.:sick:

i've gotten more URs since the change.

Anyway I like the new ammo bonus. Only because of respec cards though. I'd rather have usefull ammo bonus's then a higher N7 rating. N7 means nothing

This is what I've been unhappy about. Before the change I was buying a lot of Veteren Packs so that I could upgrade the new gear faster, but after the change I think I've gotten one, maybe two, gear upgrades from VP. Instead of gear I've been getting a bunch of Uncommon single use equipment that used to be common, and since there are more of them than the uncommon gear I get them more often than not. Not at all happy about it, but it's not going to stop me from playing the game.
