This is what I've been unhappy about. Before the change I was buying a lot of Veteren Packs so that I could upgrade the new gear faster, but after the change I think I've gotten one, maybe two, gear upgrades from VP. Instead of gear I've been getting a bunch of Uncommon single use equipment that used to be common, and since there are more of them than the uncommon gear I get them more often than not. Not at all happy about it, but it's not going to stop me from playing the game.


This is their two faced lie, they didn't change anything in truth, they just shifted things around like we're dunces and the game is their little sham magic act, it's really condescending to advertise we're getting more when nothing in reality has changed as we're still flooded with garbage drops.

I have played Multiplayer and the Premium Specter Packs are now mostly Ammo IV consumables. That is alot for 99,000 credits which takes 2 Gold Games to get and I just don't feel like I am getting the value for the money in credits for this.

Yeah, Premium Specter Pack are a real mixed bag.  You're better off buying two specter packs.  

Math:
Premium + Veteran costs same as 2 Specter.  If you buy the two specters, you still get the 2 "rare" slots, but better equipment than if you bought the premium and the veteran for same cost.

I spent 2 million in credits on PSPs today and did not get a SINGLE UR!!!! Everyone of the packs had two ammo powers!! I still have tons of UR levels to unlock. BioWare is there something going on with drop rates of these powers and UR?? Because I am getting trolled more by the ammo powers then I ever did the CCs!!!

i agree and am not buying anything but vets or recruits until new dlc or a change

for 60/99 we need a set of each type or a +3 of one but just 1 item that takes 2 gold games to replace is a ripoff

stop listening to noobs and whiners. change things back. besides most you lame fraks farm Firebase white, geth anyway. losing interest quickly. drop dlc earth already.

I suggest that everyone that is disappointed with the ammo stuff start a coordinated strike.

Other solution might be that level III and IV consumables are given in a pack of 3 pieces.
Because especially buying a PSP after 2 golds and getting something that lasts a match is highly unrewarding.

Then check the drop rates because after the updates they got messed.
As I said uncommon gear updates in vet packs fell from 3 every 5 vet packs to 1 every 7-8 Vet packs.

It seems like, if you get there on random, you're hit with nostalgia mixed with 'I can totally do better than I used to when I first played this' and thus have a hell of a time because you just don't play the same way as you did when you were first being introduced to gold.  Or at least, it's what way for me.

But yeah, seriously, 2 golds=2 consumables?  That sucks.  I just wanted character cards removed after they were filled out.  Just like everything else.  Should be changed to where if you have NOTHING else to unlock, THEN you get uncommon/rare consumables.  I have a TON of equipment to unlock and UR weapons to unlock and can't get nothing but consumables.  Seriously.  Here were my last three PSPs.

1: +5 meds, Cryo3, poweramp3, disruptor4, incendiary4
2: +5 meds, disruptor3, powerregen3, cryo4, incendiary4
3: +5 ops, Cryo3, disruptor3, cryo4, incendiary4

I continue to be of the opinion that we also need another type of PSP with the characters instead of Ammo.So anyone can choose what to buy based on their strategies.
Same price for both and equal chance to obtain weapons N7.

Bioware /EA why are you hell bent on spoiling the multiplayer game . Nothing but crap is been given out of spector and Premium Pack . If you guys really want to fix fix the glitch .

a) Glitch to curb the missiles i just have reported a person who was shooting every thing in site :-) . There is no point banning individuals this is a glitch and Some one has to taken the ownership and fix it so it cannot be used in a wrong way .
B) I want that the spot over the dam in Hydra be patched up there is no fun 2 guys running around and 2 randoms sitting on the top and doing nothing .
c) Get in a Platnum Challange where we have one wave of repear , one of geth and one of Cerb and then from wave 4 there are a mix it woud be fun to take them all like this .
d) fix the spector and premium spector packs dont overkill by doing too much guys its a beautiful game and let it be like that .if i need to pick up cyro amo i will buy a jumbo pack dont mess up the spector and premium spector packs .
e) also fix the 5 sec cloak on infeltrator class you cannot do objectives

The HMV is not a rare character.  The consumables IV will only replace a rare character card.

Thaks for pointing that out.  I was geared for my favorite class.  The developers hate my class, and killed it.  I can still get in there and whup butt on it, but its not fun anymore.

Why do people sit there and whine and complain and hate on infiltrators instead of learning themselves how to get good at them?  Why all of the tears and snot and hate until devs smurf the class?

I spent a lot of time getting good at infiltrator - and gearing him up.  I will admit - it was a lot of fun.  However, when the dev makes a major smurf to a class, it makes all of my efforts seem for naught.

I will res you if its convenient - and if I decide to play the infiltrator anymore.  I grow tired of devs not getting it right the first time - going back and nerfing guns and committing major smurf changes to classes.  Do it right or go home.  Fix the equipment packs, and stop killing every class that people have fun on.  Make it once, do it right - and do not change it.  That means do your homework - and do the math.  Test the junk you are pushing up our noses.  Make the RNG thing work, or get rid of it. 

It is most taxing to work very hard on a class, only to have haters and whiners cry until the devs castrate it.  Those same whiners are the ones that need the resurrects, and the extra help.  They aren't good at ANY class, and will hate on everyone untill ALL classes are nerfed and the truth comes out - some people just have no skill.  You should not change the world for them.  Stop handicapping good players because of whiners.  I know plenty of soldiers and vanguards that can outscore infiltrators.  Does that mean we should nerf them too?

I still don't completely understand the new system. I know I will no longer get a CC of a uncommon or rare that I have maxed and that I will get a level 3 or 4 consumable instead.
Can anyone confirm getting level 4 consumables before getting all of the CC's? Maybe I'm lucky as of late but I still need GI and CV and have not seen a single level 4 consumable. Just new weapons and more appearance unlocks.

You do not need full maxed characters to get IV rounds, I still need to max out Cerb Van and QMI and gotten IV rouns, they sux because it's taking up gear slots, I wanted to finish gear to save credits for Earth but at this rate......oh and you know what's gonna be even better later, IV of armor and weapon consumables taking up space too, seriously I play primarily PV, I don't use my weapon most of the time so stop giving me ammo, I think I'm better off buying normal spectre packs than a PSP(got 4 ammo rounds in one pack at least 3 times WTF)

This is totally doable, and I'd be really happy with this solution. I, for one, really appreciate character cards - or rather, got used to them and began to count on them in the way I leveled. I'd like the opportunity to still count on these while also trying for ultra-rare weapons, as well as the apparently ultra-rare "uncommon" and "rare" gear.

Right on... The infiltrator class did what it was ment to do, "take down enemies at at distance in one or two hits".

Still works ok but I don't get why everyone hates on the class so much? Could it be because their scores were low? Is their E-Peen suffering? Are they unable the grasp the concept of Co-Op Games? Anyplayer worth his or her salt can keep up with an infiltrator for score. All these nerf just keep making me want to play it more to prove a point. Now yes, I can agree that per shot it did alot of damage, but when you look at the fact that it only does that to 1 or 2 enemies most of the time, I think we can agree that it was balanced when compared to the CC classes... 

An Infiltrator swarmed, is an infiltrator dead now...

I have notice my behaviour changes after this pack change:

1. It was fun to max out the characters. But that is gone now..
2. Opening a pack is very frustrating now. I don't get Ultra rares anymore, and close to zero gear bonuses, with everything else maxed out some time ago.
I think the recruit pack is the only one that is still worth buying - if you want to promote, and also best for medigels/missile - it gives you only single items but you get to buy a lot of them, compared to other packs.
3. I am not using level 3 ammo and cosumable anymore. I used to get a  lot without paying attention and use them almost randomly. Now, it looks like I have a quota, so better save it.
4. I am not using level 4 ammo. If it is so expensive, better keep it for important fights. Btw, how much more damage would this do compare to level 1. I suspect it is the higher frequency of triggering the ammo power, which does not really matter for rapid fire weapons.
5. I start playing silver for fun only .

Overall:
   * no reason to buy packs - (maybe only if running out of medigel)
   * no reason to get more credits - possibly a good impact on playing just for fun
   * reasons to play for fun only, and try other games too.

About 1 week after the change.....
Good part : managed to max out the characters so I am not getting them anymore:

Bad part(s):
1. Haven't seen a ultra-rare since then. I maxed out the rare weapons and I was starting to get a lot of ultra-rares before the change.
2. I don't get too many gear bonuses, uncommon or rare. Surprisingly, since I maxed out everything else. I get instead lots of ammo, single use, which are kind of useless, or may save you 1-2 minutes in a gold game.
3. Overall the many packages I opened since the change brought me very little satisfaction. A 99000 credits PSP with ammo/armour rares last about 1 gold game, which brings you only 70000ish credits. Feels like a waste, so better stock up the rare ammo.

Except that the ultra-rare frequency dropped to (almost) 0.

True, me neither. Recruit packs are the only thing I'm buying right now... At least I get some xp from character cards there, and not a waste of money on ammo for 99.000 credits!
