Looking forward to this. I have all my characters completely finished when it comes to appearance, so I'm looking forward to seeing this rare new gear.

This sounds like a potentially terrible idea in terms of game balance. At the rate I unlock character cards I'll never run out of this new ammo. Gold is progresively getting easier with the addition of Gear, and now this. I'm all for it if they plan on adding a Platinum difficulty. Otherwise I'm afraid Gold is just going to get easier and easier.

It'll be nice to get something (ammo/equipment) instead of character cards as I wait for my Harrier to drop.  Pity I've spent 2mil this last week or so...

Holy cow, can't believe it actually happened. It took long enough to be honest. This might make me feel more motivated to play ME3 MP again! Glad you're listening buuut, it did take some time.

When will the changes be live? In wednesdays patch or when we get the new DLC?

Exactly which kits will we have to max out in order to possibly obtain the new Rare Ammo?

Also, does this mean that rare Character Cards will completely vanish as soon as we max all appearance options? Or just that they will no longer occupy Rare spots (i.e. they are now Uncommon). Many of us still appreciate the XP bonuses.

I used to think so, but the truth is that after long periods of character cards (before and after maxing the Rebellion stuff), I'll be happy to have to do some low-level work to level up if it means that I can be guaranteed something **gameplay** useful for the 60,000/99,000 I spend trying to get ultra-rare weapon upgrades.

A very intelligent decision, given the release of the Extended Cut, this is a great way to keep some players hooked.

I was going to sell this game tomorrow (lost interest in MP, and SP...yeah...) but I'll give it a week or so to really get into these changes. Good work Bioware for finally giving MP that much needed boost.

This is great news, appreciate it a lot. Never been unhappy with ME3 at all and just keeps getting better.

This system already seems to be live for the Xbox 360 version as I just acquired a Amour Piercing ammo and Warp ammo level 4. They were on gold cards.

This one simply can't believe it. Thanks, Bioware. Even though I have almost maxed URs I still appreciate this move — anything useful is better than redundant character cards. Thanks again.

Err...Fagnan said they weren't live yet, so I'm dubious in the extreme.
