If there is a good guy reaper, I can see that changing peoples view on the ending. If you want to destroy the reapers, i can see a "No I don't want Leviathan to be destroyed!" type people.

That this wont effect the ending is a pretty stupid reason not to buy it. Bring Down the Sky didn't change the ending, neither did Overlord, Lair of the Shadow Broker or Arrival. Each were self-contained stories and incredibly enjoyable.

Another jaunt with Commander Shepard will always be an enticing prospect for me. Doubly so if it involves a rogue Reaper.

EA will probably never release another game like this that does not have DLC, they are to greedy. Personally, I would have been willing to wait another 6~8 months for them to finish the game with the DLC content included, but I realize that wouldn't have ever happened, and if they did it would have been 80~90 dollars for the regular version of the game. They days of releasing a complete game are unfortunately over.

Holy crap, this sounds so cool! I really hope this is true, because it's slightly hinting a temp or possibly even perm Batarian squadmate!

Plus, more theories about the reapers!

TAKE MY MONEY, BIOWARE.

HAHA ,damn right! As long as the stuff is awesome,we will still give them our money while whining.

We're such weak, two-faced fans. D:

I seem to be the only one in this topic who isn't opening my wallet and throwing my money at Bioware.  Good grief, people.

*Is emptying wallet to put in envelope to send to Bioware* I'm sorry, what were you saying?

The only problem with a Reaper-based dlc now is... are we going to actually learn anything new about them? Judging from these files, there will be more on their creators, but still

I say their own hell is the abyss you found them in... one I hope they never escape from.

Otherwise this one sound interesting like also Leviathan´s words...

I always assumed the Leviathan of Dis was Sovereign but it would be interesting to learn more, especially if there are larger implications.

I would laugh if additional DLCs add additional outcomes to the game.

Well, it's going to be interesting. Omega is one of the DLCs I planned to buy even without EC, the Leviathan DLC is going to be the next one, thanks to the EC.

Honestly it would be a great way to crank up the SP DLC sales.  They proved with the Refusal choice that they aren't against adding new endings.

^
This, as much as they said that the EC wouldn't alter the ending of the game, it did, because they added in a new ending, it might of been a 'you all die, cycle continues one' but, it was a new ending, separate from the original 3, so there is precedent for adding endings.

Yeah, it is unlikely that they'll simply slap a flat EMS requirement for winning, as that would either make the DLC a golden snitch, or unnecessary. Probably more like a variable that either opens new endings, or gives you better tiers of Refuse than "You idiot, you lose, game over."

...If you assume ... and that the tracker for the number of promoted MP

leaves you with a maximum (assuming you cured the genophage - because
who didn't?) single player TMS of 7700, plus 120 for the best version of
the Cerberus Escapees War Asset from ME:Infiltrator, and then a
whopping 19,125 (75 x 255) for N7 Special Ops. ... this ... leaves you with 26,945 EMS...

Yeah, 26,945 EMS. That's a bunch. Either the new content would need to be absurdly powerful, rely on event flags, or not be needed.

Nope still destroying it. The moment Starbrat mentioned the "destroy" option, I immediately ran to that option.

Pretty much the same here.
Unless, of course - Refuse is upgraded so a (non-pyrrhic) victory becomes possible through DLC assets.

Same here, Destroy is my go to ending for now, and we'll see if anything comes of this in the future.

I don't understand. Is this stuff in the new DLC an indication of future DLC? Stuff that happens before these new endings?

Something that happens after?

Someone please explain. Thank you.

This is a text file from the DLC download that was datamined.  It may hint at a new DLC dealing with the first Reaper named Leviathan... otherwsie we have no hard details.

Wait, Leviathan is the first Reaper? I thought the Codex said Harbinger is the oldest and biggest. Hmmmm.

Possibly Harbinger is just the oldest known Reaper. Starchild tells you during the EC ending, that he turned his creators into a Reaper. May be Leviathan is that Reaper.

It's mostly just speculation at this point, but that's my first thought as well, that maybe Leviathan is the first reaper.

A Reaper traitor would nullify the Control ending, because it would show that you can't control them and there is a permanent danger if they are alive.

Exactly. Where will Control enders stand if this Leviathan dlc really goes down that route. They can still change it...but I hope not. This is awesome. I'm inches away from the door and I just can't seem to take that final step to walking away.

Ahh I really hope this adds a different ending or maybe add to the current Reject ending. Ahhh goddammit Bioware stop toying with us *flips table*

This was in another file right next to the one that the OP posted in the DLC folder. It's the conversation on the top of the Citadel. Could this be relevant? Or did I just not click on this conversation option during the ending scene?http://pastebin.com/R52YGPek
The original file is DLC_CON_END_TEST.tkl
I don't remember having this conversation option with the space child
Look at line 838

 • <data>The Leviathan's created you, didn't they?</data> that's Shepard talking to space child.
 • 963. <data>Tell me what you know about the Leviathans.</data> again shepard
 • 978. <data>But you turned on the Leviathans. You harvested them.</data>
then this one is interesting
 • 983 <data>Who is OLD TONGUE NAME OF HARBINGER?</data>

and then there's this one line 1693., not sure what to make of it
 • <data>Leviathan</data>
I don't remember hearing that when I talked with space child. Could those be conversation choices if you completed this tbd DLC?

OMG, does this mean finishing that DLC will give us more opportunities to learn the truth from the Catalyst? Especially details on Harby, Shep's old pal. If this is true :D

*** previous quotes snipped ***

I actually thought it was really well done, I just (and I keep reiterating this, but here it goes) thought not having a true reunion scene left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't want to have a implied reunion or make up some romanticised headcanon. Just give me a real reunion. I didn't have to be totally ridiculous, but just Shepard being rescued or something like that.

Still, I'd love for there to an expanded refusal ending. I'd isht bricks.

We may yet see a "good" ending, with Shepard reuniting with his/her LI, else why leave the Shepard teaser in, in the destroy ending? ... however, to me it feels like a setup to events in (a hypothetical) ME4, not so much a DLC.

On the other hand, Bioware has already shown that at times it chooses to make unpopular decisions.. the teaser is probably nothing more than a pre-planned "future use" plot hook, to give them some maneuvering room when planning ME4's story.

I don't have a lot of hope that we will play Shep again, after the events of the EC, or that we'll see a LI reunion.. but it could happen, and they've given themselves plot room to make it possible (assuming "destroy", which they'll probably mandate, for obvious reasons)... so, we'll see. Maybe in July we'll know more.... but probably not. We can hope, right??
